The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that the windshield would spontaneously crack when making minimal contact with minor objects in the road. The contact stated that the windshield had to be replaced on four different occasions. Each time, the insurance company sent an auto glass repairman to replace the windshield, yet the failure continued. The contact believed there was a structural defect. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to NHTSA to file an official complaint. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Renegade. While the vehicle was stationary, it stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred on numerous occasions while driving and while stationary. In addition, there were several electrical failures with the lighting and the door locks. On a separate occasion, the contact stated that the windshield was replaced. Several unknown dealers were contacted about the series of failures over a period of 15 months ever since the vehicle was purchased. The dealers could not duplicate the failures. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that the matter was in the legal department of Chrysler. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was 3,240.
