Will not drive at all but has power. Only has 112,000. Codes: P0777 - pressure control solenoid B - stuck on, P0741 - torque converter clutch solenoid - stuck off, P0730 incorrect great ratio

The unsealed main relay box is positioned directly below the lead-acid battery which leaks directly onto the cover, enters the relay box and destroys the leg and wiring connected to the automatic shutdown relay. This can occur both as the vehicle is operating or cause a no-crank/no-start situation, immobilizing the vehicle. In our case, the first time it occurred was in a parking lot but the issue is well documented on the internet and there are myriad youtube videos on the issue for many Jeep and fca vehicles. This is enough of a known issue that fca has not addressed for many years now and we just paid $460 for the dealer to move the affected relay from the box to a less vulnerable location. It occurred a few times before the wiring failed completely, and in our case was in a stationary condition each time fortunately.

My malfunctioning Jeep Patriot experienced sudden unexpected acceleration which resulted in a totaled car, 2 damaged buildings, and a fca letter stonewalling and washing their hands of. This accident came within a whisker of taking our lives. Accident happened as I descended our driveway to our house. Deep skid tire marks in gravel they chose to ignore. Their "investigation" was very very shallow. I have a detailed description of all that happened that day and police report which I can fax to you. I am a very angry and frustrated veteran I need you. Thanks.

Vehicle is stalling without warning at low or high speeds, with loss of brake assist and steering assist. Multiple visits to dealer have not solved the problem as dealer claims he can not duplicate. In several of the stalling incidents, a critically hazardous condition was created. Stall has occurred both in straight line travel and in turns at intersections.

It started about two years ago while driving down the road it started jerking like it was between gears. Took to dealership several times just to be told they couldn't find nothing. I told them something was wrong and its so bad when it happens vehicle stalls and almost dies. I have called Jeep and they do nothing but blame it on a recall that has been done already. It has gotten so bad I bought my wife another vehicle and I'm driving it do to my safety concerns.

When I'm driving and let off the gas to coast, go around curves, or uphill;, my Jeep seems to cutout, skip, or putter as I accelerate again. It seems like it is going to die. I took it to the dealership and they told me nothing is wrong with it. It is only getting worse. And of course I was 3,000 miles over my warranty when it stated happening.

When driving the engine seems to sputter, stall, jerk, rev the RPM at random when driving. It happens on the highway going 70 or in a neighborhood going 25 while driving or starting to go from a stop. It will jerk really hard like it is going to stall out but no lights come on the dash to indicate something is wrong and I have taken it into the dealership many times and they tell me it is normal, I've never had any vehicle behave this way except when I was 15 learning how to drive a manual transmission and that wasn't the fault of the vehicle. It also will while in park randomly rev the rpms when nothing is being used in the vehicle, if I then put it in drive and back to park it usually settles down but not always, sometimes I have to shut it off and back on. The jerking and sputtering while driving has gotten a lot worse in the last few months, over the past few years it would randomly do it but it happens more and more now every time I drive and I am conscerned that one day it will stall out and cause a major accident. I have inquired many times about this to no avail from 3 different dealerships.

In July 2020, I was driving, and my engine light came on. Went to Jeep, in reno, nv, which diagnosed it as a camshaft sensor error; it would need to be repaired but not critical. Tech reset sensor, and said if it comes on again, we should set a date for repair. On Sept 3, 6:40pm, driving on the highway, coming out of an interchange, my car shut down! everything. Luckily, close enough, I coasted off to the right and took the first exit, braked hard, and came to stop. Couldn't restart. Ordered a tow. Ten min later, tried again, the car started, and drove it 3 miles home @ 25 mph. Hit 30mph, it kinda 'chunked', and I went back to 24-25mph. Sept 4, I took to lithia Jeep, again. Left it with them. They called me later, and said it was the crankshaft sensor, and would need to be replaced. Total cost: $700. They kept it over the labor day weekend, and will fix & return, Sept 8, 2020. I googled the issue; discovered a recall for Jeep Patriot's manufactured may-July 2016. Today, Sept 7, contacted the Chrysler recall dept, regarding the S89 recall, learned my vehicle was manufactured Jan 15, 2016, and not included in the recall S89. My vehicle, same make/model, with the exact same issues as in the recall. The agent said I have to get the dealer to acknowledge the issue is the same as the recall; then request a review by the Jeep dealer's regional supervisor, who, if approves, allows me to submit paperwork, to request Chrysler pay all bills related to issue, back to the July 2020 camshaft sensor issue, up to and including the repair of both the camshaft sensor, and the crankshaft sensor. This seems like a lot of footwork for me, let alone all the paperwork to submit for, hopefully, payment after the fact, for work related to a recall. Can you step in and help" can you add more vehicles manufacture dates to the recall, to include mine"

When starting the vehicle there is a delay in starting then when while driving down the road the vehicle jerks or stalls like it is going to die. Acceleration and deceleration do not seem to make it stop or fix the issue. Occasionally when going up hill the vehicle will hit 4rpm like it is unable to shift and neither acceleration or deceleration fix the issue even after the vehicle is no longer climbing the hill. There are no check engine lights on and no codes to be read. I have tried gas treatment and taken it to the dealership and 2 mechanics and no one knows why it is doing it or how to stop it.

I was coming out of a stop getting ready to get into the turning lane for the interstate ramp and when I pressed the gas the car barely moved but the RPM shot up and was revving. Came to a full stop and put car in park and it made a very loud noise. Put back in drive and seemed to be normal.

My vehicle out of nowhere no lights or warnings came on it simply shut off no power couldn't even unlock my doors. Was unable to start again. I jumped it and it started within 10seconds of driving it I thought it died again and realized was still running but it was like I was not pressing the gas rpms were up but no speed when I put in park vehicle motor seemed to be struggling and my check engine light came on. Luckily all of this happened while on a small road. Got it home spoke to mechanic he informed me of recall S89 and immediately said it was electrical or computer possibly I reached out to Chrysler and they instructed me to take to dealership to submit my VIN for recall I contacted dealership they essentially told me no we don't do that. This was out of nowhere with no warning I did try to start vehicle a few minutes later it started up.
