Purchased my 2015 Jeep Patriot on 10/16/2020 and in less than 3 hours of ownership the problem everyone has been posting about happened: dash lighting up, traction control, check engine light and lightning bolt flashing along with no ability to accelerate and dropping to a max of 10mph. THANKFULLY there was a 6 month/6,000 mile warranty on the vehicle. I dropped it off the next day (Saturday) and the dealership sent it to the Jeep division in their network the following Monday.
The Throttle Body needed replaced, and would have cost nearly $700 on a vehicle I had owned for 3 hours. Very thankful for the warranty, but thinking of requesting the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty to be added on ($1500) for the inconveniences. Thoughts?
