Recall with no remedy yet. In addition we have experienced loss of power in the car. I have children. I don't feel it is safe for me to drive with them.
Received a recall notice on 11/15/16. Repair shop where car was purchased advised they are unable to assist. Contacted thefca recall center for the manufacturer, who advised that they are unable to repair for 90 days pending their determination of repair process for all affected vehicles. 3 months is not a reasonable amount of time to repair safety features on a vehicle that my 17 year old daughter is driving. Company should fix timely or pay for rental or provide another vehicle to drive until they can repair it. These known defects in primary safety features and inefficiencies to repair are unacceptable and puts lives in jeopardy. Safety features could fail and people killed by the time these issues are fixed. The secretary should impose immediate remedy requirements.

There is a recall on my cars airbag and seat belts. The report says there is no remedy for this problem and I'm very very upset nothing has been fixed yet. I was in an accident where I swerved to avoid hitting a coyote and ended up running up on a curb, over 2 trees, and into a pole. I was going about 35 mph. The accident did $5400 in damage but my seat belt never locked up and the airbags never deployed.
Vehicle involved in a head on collision combined impact of about 40 mph. Driver ended up out of seat draped over steering wheel. Physical exam of driver showed bruise on left clavicle area indicating shoulder strap was in use. Driver suffered severe contusion and possible fracture of sternum. Our seat belt light started to mess up in June 2015, we took it to the service department and after they tried two switches I was told that it could not be fixed and that all 2014 Jeep Patriots do this! if you pull the seat belt out an inch from home position the light goes off, when you actually have it clicked it will still beep at you telling you that your not wearing your seat belt! we have only had this Jeep since Feb. 2014 and purchased it brand new! it will not pass inspection on base, so technically we are not even suppose to be driving this unsafe Jeep that can't be fixed! all 2014 Jeep Patriots do not do this, I know a couple of people who purchased a Jeep Patriot within a month or two from my purchase. Now the seat belt light will stay off even without me wearing my seat belt! I have tried contacting isg, NHTSA, Chrysler service and cannot reach anyone about my safety issue!
