On a 3 yr old vehicle...transmission hose should not be cracked..especially with being driven lightly with nil tight turning. Chrysler svce centers all quote different prices for the fix whereas other completely different mechanics in different outlets are much cheaper. This problem could hv caused serious injury in that my steering suddenly became non existant & the fluid was almost completely gone suddenly. Also, there was nil notification of this major problem in the computer diagnostic system & I was told that it wouldn't hv indicated a problem anyway...this was told to me by the service center of Jim Gauthier Chrysler in Winnipeg Manitoba when I later had an oil change at another time. Also, the problem surfaced one week after my vehicle had been checked out by them for regular service. I was forced to take my car to Selkirk Chrysler to have it repaired. Today....Dec. 25th/15....my car has again begun to leak transmission fluid & I must now make an appt. to take it back to Selkirk to have it fixed. Also...following the warranty expiration in April; 2015...it was interesting that this major problem occurred. Once this problem is looked at by Selkirk Chrysler who replaced the hose & fluid for quite a hefty price....I will never take my car back to another Chrysler dealership. This is definitely a defective problem & these 2012 jeep patriots should be recalled to have these parts fixed properly. Absolutely nil integrity on Chrysler;s parts nor workmanship to fix the problem! I also called Chrysler Head Office in Windsor Ontario....& talked to several people who in fact just brush you off. I will never buy another car from Chrysler.
