We have two Jeep Patriots from 2009. And both had warranties canceled because of the lack of a 5 year inspection. None of our other Chrysler vehicle have had this requirement. We have since read all the warranties with the Jeep and NO WHERE does it say that missing the 5 year inspection would void all warranties – even the lifetime warranty that we bought separately with the vehicle.
We did contact their Customer Service Department and they gave us a case No. 77131737. They were not able to help us reinstate the warranty and informed us to write to you. We also have another 2009 Jeep Patriot with the same problem – it did not have a 5 year inspection and the Lifetime Extended Warranty that we bought with it has been voided also.
It's one thing to cancel powertrain warranty and another to cancel all. The inspection was for powertrain, not the total vehicle. And customer service at two Jeep service departments never heard of this so why would they check the vehicle at 5 year timeframe. They check for other items already.....
How do we get our money back or whatever?
Update from Aug 16, 2021: how can Chrysler stop entire warranty for one inspection. and almost all of the time, service department always knows to check warranty items. at minimum, only item not checked should be removed.
will anything happen here?
