CarComplaints.com Notes: On August 16th, 2012 Jeep stopped production of the the Jeep Liberty, marking the end of a troublesome journey for the SUV.
All in all, the 2012 Liberty actually excels off-road, but since 99% of drivers never take this thing off pavement, that becomes somewhat of a moot point. The Liberty suffers from the worst fuel economy in its class (16/22 MPG) and offers an uncomfortable ride with suspect braking ability.

Please help I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty. Since May, the Jeep has been in the 'authorized' mechanic for the same non-start issue seven times. They cannot fix it. It is a random problem however I have video of the non-start issue. The dealer (although they have witness the problem first hand) could not duplicate the problem when it was attached to the computer. Sarah, employee ID# SR1666 (she wouldn't give her last name) I think she is the director of Jeep customer service in Michigan) could not help. searching the internet, others with Jeep have had this same issue but not enough for Jeep to recall.
I rely on my vehicle to work. I am a certified arborist and work in very remote areas, often without cell service. This non-start issue has us so frustrated and often scared when in remote areas in the cold.
No one will help me at Jeep!
By the way, during this time, my husband had both legs amputated. He is only 53 years old! I need a reliable vehicle! Life is stressful enough!
