Loud Sun Roof Air Leak
2012 Jeep Liberty
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Jeep dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: On August 16th, 2012 Jeep stopped production of the the Jeep Liberty, marking the end of a troublesome journey for the SUV.
All in all, the 2012 Liberty actually excels off-road, but since 99% of drivers never take this thing off pavement, that becomes somewhat of a moot point. The Liberty suffers from the worst fuel economy in its class (16/22 MPG) and offers an uncomfortable ride with suspect braking ability.

My Liberty is called a "suncatcher" because the roof window goes the whole length of the vehicle. When it is closed and you are driving, the air leaks from the cover is so loud I do not even want to drive the thing. The radio is on 12 and you can barely make out the words. Took it in, they had it for two days and left me without a vehicle. They said they fixed the problem but three days later it was super loud in the car again. It is literally to the point were you cannot have a normal conversation with a passenger because you have to scream at each other!
I took it back to the dealer and they are saying there is really nothing they can do. They have no loaner cars so if you leave your vehicle, you walk. I told them it gets louder the faster you drive but they took it on a road that is only 50 mph, it is still loud but not to the point it is at 70, you need ear plugs. Sounds like I am stuck with this problem. $31000 vehicle and I am s.o.l! I want my Ford back!!!!!!
