2012 Jeep Liberty
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Jeep dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: On August 16th, 2012 Jeep stopped production of the the Jeep Liberty, marking the end of a troublesome journey for the SUV.
All in all, the 2012 Liberty actually excels off-road, but since 99% of drivers never take this thing off pavement, that becomes somewhat of a moot point. The Liberty suffers from the worst fuel economy in its class (16/22 MPG) and offers an uncomfortable ride with suspect braking ability.

When the car hit 13,000 miles, just driving down the road, all the dashboard lights came on, the car just died, managed to get to side of road. Put car in park, turned off engine and restarted. All okay. Exactly one month later, this all started again. After the 3rd time in one week I called the closest Jeep dealer as where I purchased it was 1.5 hours away. the check engine light is now on continuously. They ran an engine check and came up with 3 pages of error codes and told me to bring it back to where I purchased it. I called Jeep directly. They set me up with another dealer about 25 minutes away. They provided me with a free 800 towing number if I broke down on the way, and authorized up to 5 days of a free rental. The Jeep was in the dealer for 2 days. This dealer also advised that they too got 3 pages of error codes but could not get it to 'just die' while they were driving it. They advised they did some work on the main computer and hope that clears up the problem. I've now drove it for approximately 100 miles and all is well 'so far.' Not sure if I have a faulty computer - just a matter of time and wondered if anyone else had this issue
