Valve stem failure. Low tire pressure light came on, and tire immediately went flat while driving at 55-60 mph. After tire was changed, went to tire shop where they said valve stem was either blown out or sucked in, and 2 more were ready to fail, so replaced all 4. I didn-??t quite understand all, but seemed to have something to do with the tire pressure sensor, or parts of it being worn.
The sky glider has broken and peeled completely back while driving on the interstate caused accident and every make and model in this year and a couple years newer to older he's had the same issue. Chrysler Jeep no longer makes the part to fix the sky glider there for owners of this vehicle or just out of luck and have no way to fix or replace this part now the car floods when it rains because it does not seal completely.because of this it's causing other electrical damage to the vehicle as well of other issues. This is very dangerous to drivers owning this vehicle.
The roof is leaking all around when it rains or snows. I have reported this several times to the dealership. Water actually drips inside the vehicle, onto the shifting area, seats, and the center of the dashboard where the radio is located. The water also drips from the front light ceiling fixture, which may be creating an electrical issue. The water is coming in from where the roof rack tracks begin and end, and runs down toward the middle of the vehicle. This issue seriously needs to be resolved immediately. The rubber stripping that is holding the roof rack tracks onto the vehicle are either corroding, or the reinforcement agent/S are not working.
Vehicle's front facing vents do not open at all! do not open with the heat on or the a.C, possible the deflector shield behind the dash is malfunctioning. Huge costly repair!
My door locks only work occasionally. This causes a safety concern when driving through a bad neighborhood and a security concern when the back hatch won't lock. This is a well known and documented problem with this vehicle.

The sky slider roof is malfunctioning and getting worse and worse. It is now leaking and I fear it might come off eventually. Chrysler Jeep no longer offers parts to repair and no one can fix the issue. It is unacceptable that the dealer would allow their product to go unsupported in this manner.
The sky slider has a major leaking issue and very high wind sounds when driving. The slider does not currently operate and between this year and last year I've gotten 3 details just to clean the water damage and it just keeps happening. When looking up reviews so many people are/had the same issue with the slider. This is not fair to customers.
As I am accelerating from a stop my entire vehicle will completely lock up out of nowhere and will no longer move. I can still shift all the gears, however my Jeep will not budge in drive or reverse when pressing on the gas pedal. This has left me stranded in the middle of both lanes of traffic on multiple occasions. This is a huge safety concern, as I have had other vehicles almost crash into me. The only way I can describe it, is like having the emergency brake come on while your driving. The vehicle locks up and the tires skid until you come to a complete stop. It's very scary!
I am still paying for my vehicle and I am very disappointed that the sky slider has a manufacturers defect. When I opened the sky slider it came off track and I am unable to close it securely. I have being in touch with original dealer and have been told that I have to pay for repair and it was not guarantee to last
2010 Jeep Liberty sky slider leaking +unsafe roof+ leaking water into vehicle wetting floor and saturating carpets causing slippery feet on gas and break peddles. Water eroding electrical panel where the skyslider power button is..... very dangerous and could cause electrical shock. Leaking skyslider failed repairs at ed voyles Jeep dealership with over 75 service records over 4 replaced skyslider attempts & headliner replaced, I paid for replaced carpet due to deterioration and smell. Chyrlser llc has had many chances to remedy problem @ 101,000 mile repair & made no offer to buy back / trade but promised to fix with each repair. Vehicle was sold to me with a skyslider feature and this skyslider feature is flawed design. I sent dealership the video showing how the top "burps" when doors are closed, so the top has no secure latching features to hold it inplace and when the electrical shorts out do to the exposure to water & there is a probable cause for the top to rip right off the tracts while in motion. Please send someone to investigate the repairs orders of all Jeep Liberty that have skysliders. I wish they would have been honest with me at the dealership and the manufacture representive and just say we cant fix it and we need to replace it with a vehicle that represents our Jeep quality with something to the same feature like the skyslider for the very reason it was purchased! I have a 4 inch binder with all my service records, photos, emails, service reports and happy to mail you a copy. Dealership has done an outstanding job..... but really should have stepped up to protect the consumer when instead they threw in the towel and said there is nothing more they can do to fix the leaking skyslider. Please do a recall investigation of the skyslider leaking. Value of repair exceeds value of purchase... that classifies a total loss by law >>
Takata recall - my vehicle is 8 years old. A lot of problems have started to happen two years ago which I have paid out of my pocket considering it as age maintenance. Two years ago I was not going to pay dealer $800 cost to fix my front door locks that don't go up or down. I just do it the old fashion way. Recently my passenger front door has added the problem of the window button not working, which is a possible life safety of a person who could be forced to escape that way. Takata recall - now!!! starting in mid April 2018 my dashboard dinged showing picture of what looks like driver airbag circle and driver in a seatbelt. It went away a minute later. It then started happening sparatically twice a week maybe. In May 2018, it became every drive off and on the airbag icon showed up and would ding about five times during the day drive staying lit at 2 minutes most approximately. Now June 2018, it has become an automatic of light dings on and then off several times during a drive that could range from 5minutes to 20 minutes. I started to observe that it happens when I turn the steering wheel only slightly right, but now the last week it has happened when steering wheel is turned slightly left or right. I am now truly in fear of my bag exploding while I drive and/or it will not go off to help my injury I'm involved in crash. I have read the htsa sight of recall and complaints and another owner's story is a match similar to mine....they are complaint NHTSA id number: 10986169. I have to go to the dealer this week for an appt for yet another problem with my vehicle and have to ask them to look at the airbag issue......I believe no matter what the manufacturers should pay for fixing any airbag problem a customer comes in with!!! it should not be put as a burden on the owner and a true hardship to me because I have to borrow money to fix possibly.
Oil pan and transmission pan have rusted out and started leaking. I feel the car is not old enough to have this problem and it is an issue with the manufacturer parts. We didn't notice the problem until we were getting an oil change but the gentleman took a video of the leak for us and when we got home we noticed the enormous puddle in our driveway we had somehow missed.
This car is nothing but a problem. The roof leaks constantly, shorted out my eletronics, the odometer doesnt light up, issue after issue. To many to type
Tipm failure. The car has shut down multiple times while driving. It has happened while driving in city streets and on highways. The 2010 Jeep Liberty lost all power had to steer to the side to avoid causing any accidents. Pretty scary experience especially when you are pregnant and cares are zooming by 80 miles per hour.
The check oil light never came on even when there was less than a quart of oil. The oil was not leaking. The Jeep was just using it up. Not knowing I needed oil caused damage to my engine.
