I purchased this used vehicle in Feburary of 2015 unknowing that the rust was so severe because the dealer had spray painted black over the frame to cover the rust, and put a temporary patch over a major rust hole in the rear hatch. Regardless of the sneaky, lying, thieving, misleading, and all out crooked ways of car dealers, who i hope realize, they will all burn in "you know where" , this Jeep Liberty is absolutely rusted out, the rear hatch has a hole almost all the way thru it and the hinge points are almost the same way, i took it to a body shop and was told it was beyond repair and it would need a whole new hatch. The frame, skid plates, transmission oil pan and all hardware is the same way as well as a lot of other parts. This vehicle in my opinion is not safe drive due to the rust. When i had my last oil change done some of the bolts for the skid plate broke off due to rust and cannot be removed without excessive labor. In my opinion Chrysler Corporation is not treating for rust protection and has some very bad paint and or body/ finish issues. This vehicle was stickered at almost $40,000, what cost them $40k was the sloppy, lazy, and careless overpaid employees that control the automotive market. I will never own another Chrysler vehicle or as far as that goes, any of the big 3. HELLO NISSAN
