A significant amount of gas spills out of the spout after the automatic shut-off of the pump's gas flow. Gas spills down the vehicle, onto the ground and onto the person pumping gas.
During fueling at the end of the process the fuel pump will "click" off. After the click, a fair amount of fuel spills from the fuel tank down the side of my vehicle and the ground. This is a dangerous condition to the environment and a waste of fuel.
