The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Liberty. On several occasions, the passenger side door lock failed to lock and unlock as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven on the passenger side because it was used as for postal deliveries. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic who stated that the totally integrated power module failed. Roanoke motor company was contacted by phone at (309) 923-7171 and an appointment was scheduled to have the vehicle repaired, which was still pending. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 195,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that while driving at moderate speeds, the windshield wipers, horn and door locks would activate independently. The contact stated that when the doors locked, no one could exit the vehicle. The vehicle manually had to be unlocked from the outside. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed no failures. The vehicle was then taken to an auto mechanic who was also unable to diagnose any failures. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 88,000 and the current mileage was 93,000.
