This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My 3 year old child was restrained in an evenflo "big kid booster seat" in the rear-middle seat position of a 2007 Jeep Liberty. They were T-boned by a drunk driver running a red light, and the vehicle rolled-over several times, ultimately landing on the roof. The ems personnel and the emergency room doctors both deemed the child booster seat to be "inadequate" and a "very poor restraint, " (as written in my daughter's medical records). Every interconnecting component became loose, ultimately resulting in my daughter hitting her head & receiving a deep cut, which has left her with a permanent scar.
