The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that her vehicle may overheat and cause an interior fire. She stated that the temperature gauge on the dashboard was rising. The dealer has not received the parts yet to repair the vehicle, but will make the repair once they become available. The speed was unknown. The current mileage was 16,456 and the failure mileage was unknown.
Front power windows fall out of track while going up requiring the driver to remove hands from the steering wheel to make correction. Windshield wipers which are supposed to be on their own fuse according to manual quit working if the radio fuse blows.
My new 2006 Jeep Liberty caught fire while driving on I-15. The insurance investigator indicated it was caused by a wiring problem and/or connector to the blower fan under the passenger side dash board. The car was towed to the salvage yard and investigated by gmac insurance.
