The contact owns a 2005 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the odor of fuel was present inside and outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the odor was caused by a fuel leak coming from the fuel pressure valve. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 123,000.
