While driving vehicle the brakes will begin to lock up....this has happened several times over the last year and once while on a major highway (Very Scary). I checked with several mechanics who think I am crazy because they never heard of such a thing and the problem diminishes after about an hour while the car is not running. Had my calipers checked and new brakes installed and the issue still happens.

All forums seem to say the same thing that Jeep will not or doesn't know the issue and will not do a recall. I am frightened of my own car that it may kill or severely injure me or my wife. there is nothing else wrong with the car except some minor electrical problems.

I worry that this is a fatality waiting to happen either for me or others that are experiencing the same problem.

The brakes gradually lock and then they start to smell like they are burning....I can't tell if it's one or all of them but it it dangerous

The breaks on my jeep keep locking up. I have replaced the brake pads, and the break caliper, I thought by doing this, it would solve the problem. I was wrong. After driving my car for several days, the breaks have locked up again. When it does that I"m stuck on the side of the road for atleast an hour if not more. I don't have the money at this time to put it in the shop just to get checked. Chrysler should recall these jeeps and do a break check before they lock up, catch on fire or even worse cause a bad accident and kill someone. Then will chrysler rethink the recall thing.
