The contact owns a 2004 Jeep Liberty. While driving 5 mph in snowy conditions, the vehicle was supposed to be in 4 wheel drive and began to skid. The vehicle failed to shift into 4 wheel drive, although the indicator was illuminated, which meant it was activated. The contact also heard a clunking sound. She took the vehicle to a repair shop and was informed that the link in the driveshaft failed, which caused the failure. The manufacturer informed her to send a receipt for the repair and they would consider reimbursement. The current mileage was 42,156 and failure mileage was approximately 42,150.
