I was on a waiting list to buy a jeep.,it took a year.,at Hometown Subaru in Beckley,WV before I left the Dealership I noticed the ABS LIGHT stayed on.,I confronted that mechanic there,and he said they have no idea why this ABS LIGHT stays on and he said it would take over 2 weeks to maybe even locate the problem,or,longer months to find the problem.,so he thought it was in the electrial,he said personally.I needed the jeep for my security job in the coal mines.,it did fine for while I stayed there working.,the inspections for,this jeep I usually got in whitesville,WV cause I lived in Ameagle,WV,at the time.,I never realized this was illegal for a good inspection sticker,till now.I have moved to Beckley,WV been here going on 3 years.,I don't work now am disabled army veteran.,I have had a Recall for the jeep for a trailer Hitch on the gas tank.,I had it installed.,took little over an hour at Sheets,in Beckley,WV I left that Dealership after that recall was fixed.,since then I've had another problem happen the TRANSMISSION LIGHT comes on.,solenoid Fault Codes come on.,I never had a problem with lights coming on since I purchased the Jeep.,until now.I fault,Sheets Dealership.,about,it.I will never trust them again for a recall.,I have several people tell me Sheets have many customer complaints.,so that made my decision easier.PROBLEM now: While driving,about 30 miles then on the way back home Transmission Light comes on and sale fault code P0700, but first it was P1776.,I forgot the other one.,but the jeep then goes into a called LIMP MODE drives in 2nd gear.,I can shift to 1st ,etc..gears but it only stays in Limp Mode a 2nd Gear.,but be a emergency protection from the solenoid Module to do this.,cause I can still drive it.,when I park the jeep for 5 minutes,and drive then it drives normally.,but same problem happens over,and over again.,I have a value cover leak recently now.,have to fix that.,I last year has Sheets give me an estimate to repair the jeep.,it cost over $2,000.00 they gave a written estimate.,what I needed ,etc... The jeep never had an ABS installed the Harness is missing.,behind the ignition wiring.,and no ABS on wheels.,nothing,no hook up installed on this jeep ever.,in the engine.,for any ABS.,that's why they say the ABS LIGHT won't go out.,it don't have a ABS!.they said.,also I need a new solenoid.,but I read online the solenoid packet build date expires on it,and you have to replace the whole solenoid packet.,I informed Sheets about this,and they said they never heard about this.,someone should update them then.,because this is happening to other customers who,own same type of jeep they replace it,and it runs fine now.,it's online too for,proof.,since that is a fact their indeed needs to be a RECALL out for certain years of made jeeps for the Company to,replace the solenoid packs.,this needs to be investigated.,I have called DAMIMLER CHRYSLER RECALL CENTER 1-800-853-1403 and filed a report today about this problem.,was on hold several times and result is they say this jeep must have had a ABS on it before,but don't now.,but it isn't under recall.,I told them it was,sold to.me this way.,but the jeep sales rep.had told me it had one owner prior,to,me they have no reports.,So they say they can't cover the repair or replacement.,well in fact I have reports this jeep never had an installed ABS at all,still they can't do anything.I plan to,keep.paying for the jeep then sell as-is.,in 2 years when it's paid for.,I had refinanced this jeep and an Impreza car too for,lower payments through my bank.,so,I could buy my house with a VA Loan.,it has now problems too filed lost property for,it...wow,can't trust nobody these days!!..lol...
