While driving at low speeds of 5 mph into a parking lot, the drivers side upper control arm fractured from its socket and caused the tire to collapse outward. The vehicle was towed to a local repair shop where the mechanic replaced the upper control arm and realigned the front end. If not replaced, it will fail. Vehicle has been serviced for previous two recalls on the lower control arm ball joints. Dealer will not cover the replacement cost of ball joint and/or upper control arm assembly.
