We took the car home on 5/4/24 & while drive it home we started to get a binging noise, I got scared I thought the car was braking down & a message came on the instrument panel Driver 1 info & then it went away & then a few minutes later more binging this message was check 2nd row seat belt latch, stop driving also the screen, radio, and air conditioner, shut off then it come back on after a while. We had a lot going on & we had to wait for a passenger side mirror to come in because of prior damage being done to it & scratch marks that need to be buffed & everything could be done at one time.Still driving the car and picked up my parents at the airport 5/15/24 and same electrical issue coming across the instrument panel. On 5/22/24 took my parents to the airport and they were in the 2nd row seats & the 2nd row latch message came up three different time while I was driving @ 70 mph and couldn't do anything didn't have a screen, radio, air conditioner or anything. On 6/4/24 the engine light came on while driving & stayed on.Took it in on 6/5/24 & they couldn't duplicate any of the problems and they must of just reset the engine light because we pick up the car on 6/6/24 & when I driving home both the 2nd row seat belt issue come on, & Driver 1 Info I was doing 41mph when it shows up on the instrument panel & the check engine light came on the next day 6/7/24 we took it to another Dealership & they were able to duplicate all the problems. From all the service records that I can see there has been electrical system problems sense10/2/23, 2/19/24, 2/26/24 also wiring repaired done & all these issues where reported by two different Dealership before being purchased by us and the problems still keep happening 5/4/24,5/6/24,5/7/24,5/8/24,5/9/24,5/10/24,5/15/24,5/18/24,5/22/24, 6/4/24,6/5/24,6/6/24, & the seat belt problem sense 2/15/24 & continue until this day. This another Dealership has duplicate all of the problems, but they have no solution for these issues.

To the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):Subject: Safety Issue Report: UConnect System Malfunction in Jeep VehicleDear NHTSA, I am writing to report a significant safety concern with the UConnect system in my Jeep, which has been malfunctioning for the past four months. The system's failure to recognize voice commands and manage remote commands compromises the vehicle's safety features, including hands-free calling and potentially emergency assistance services. This issue is covered under warranty, yet despite repeated attempts to have it addressed by Jeep, there has been no resolution. The malfunctioning UConnect system, crucial for safe vehicle operation by minimizing driver distraction, is not responding correctly, indicating a possible hardware or software failure. Given the importance of such systems for vehicle safety and the refusal of the manufacturer to correct the problem under warranty, I am seeking your intervention to ensure the issue is adequately addressed.I believe this could represent a broader safety issue that may affect other drivers and request that the NHTSA investigate the matter further to ensure vehicle safety is not compromised.Sincerely, XXXXX Attached is my husband's email communication chain. Other complaint information will be available from the Jeep internal system. We are not sure if this is an electrical problem. But we reported issues that seemed unrelated up until now whereas a strange smell and electrical malfunctions existed from the moment we purchased the vehicle brand new. It is odd that only select services requiring telecommunications don't work, but they do seem to work to contact Jeep. We mentioned this smell as exhaust or burning smells in the vehicle but were told this is normal essentially and have still not gotten a response from a Technical Team that either doesn't exist or is nor actively addressing the issue. It seems to be electronics involved and UConnect may be tertiary to the issue.

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The contact stated that the stop and go and lane change features were not working. While reversing, there was no audible alert. The auto-air lift system failed to engage. Upon accelerating, the vehicle was making an abnormal sound. The navigation screen was flickering. The contact noticed open wires under the driver's side front seat. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered to buy back the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 800.

We brought this Brand-new Wagoneer on April 19th, 2023, since then we've been having a lot of issues with the vehicle, On August 7th, the electrical system failed we took it to the dealer, and they upgraded for us. Again, 3 weeks later while I was driving home from Sam's club, the power steering light keeps flashing, I had trouble with the wheels i pulled to the side turned off the car for 5 minutes then light went off and I was able to drive again. Few days ago, on October 16th the vehicle electrical system shut off again, none of the buttons inside the vehicle works, the screen went off completely. I was too busy at work that day and did not have time to drop off the vehicle. On Wednesday October 18th after I pick up my daughter from school, the vehicle completely shut off at a Gas station, I decided that vehicle was not safe to drive and decided to drop it to the dealer, as I was leaving the Gas Station nothing works inside the car and we hit a pole at the gas station which severely damaged the front Bumper. We reached out to Jeep and was told to drop the car to the nearest Jeep dealer, and they will fix it. When we got there, they fixed only the electrical problems inside the car but refuse to fix the bumper which was cause by the forward collision avoidance system failure to engage due to the electrical problems. We pick up the car Saturday morning now the automatic break light is on, and the battery keep discharging. We want your firm to please help us as it not safe to drive that vehicle now. We are very afraid and wants jeep to either replace the vehicle with another one or fully refund the purchase price.
