The vehicle has no heating, I-??ve taken the vehicle multiple times to the dealership From September 2024 and to date January 2025, the vehicle has been in the dealership since December, multiple attempts has been made to fix the heating system including replacing parts one of them being a valve. Vehicle is still not working after replacement of parts, the engineering company called -??Star Engineering-?? are involved at this point and they are still continuing to fix the car. The electrical component of this car is not working properly. This car is only 1 year old and it is a hybrid 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee purchased brand new. In 2023 after 2 weeks of leading this vehicle, the cars steering wheel froze and I was unable to drive it, I had to get the vehicle towed to the dealership. This is a major safety issue especially if you have children in the car, at the time I had my [XXX] in the vehicle, unable to drive it. Recently, temperatures have dropped significantly in November here in Massachusetts, and I had to drive with my toddler with no heat, in freezing temperatures and cover my child with a blanket. I was told by the dealership service staff that I needed to clean my car so the heat can work, after vacuuming my car I dropped it off again December and showed them for the 5th time that the car is blowing cold air, while the heating temperature is max and -??hot-??. In November, on a random day I arrived home and the car engine did not want to turn off after pressing the -??off-?? button, we had to park the car far away from our home in fear that it will catch fire or start -??having a mind of its own-??, the vehicle decided to shut off on its own after an hour, I also shared this with the dealership. This car is not safe to have at all! Not safe to drive out in the cold or in the highway and NOT safe if you have children! Please do not buy any hybrid models from Jeep. There were no warning messages, the vehicle has always passed inspection. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(

Report: Jeep Grand Cherokee 2023 table number [XXX]. Vin [XXX] Piston malfunction. **Vehicle:** 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Tablet:[XXX]. Vin [XXX] **Date of purchase** February 2023. **Problem:** Piston malfunction That began in September 2023. **Dealer:** Alberic Colón Chrysler, Jeep, Puerto Rico **Event timeline:** 1. September 2023: The malfunction of the piston in the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2023 began. 2. September 4, 2023: He visited the dealership, Alberic Colón, to report the malfunction and request repairs. The dealer did not adequately document the malfunction during this visit. 3. May 1, 2023: A second visit to the dealership was made for the same problem, but the malfunction was not resolved and the problem persisted. 4. **September 2024:** Another visit was made to the dealer, since the piston problem remains unresolved and the dealer has not yet addressed or adequately documented the malfunction. In all previous visits it is documented by the concessionaire that at the time of the test it did not present condition. 5. **Current status (to date):** The problem remains unresolved and we have continued to be without a vehicle every time the unit is taken to the warranty area. The amount of time that the vehicle is in the workshop is indefinite and at no time has we been offered a vehicle similar to a loaner as established by regulations #19 and #21 of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO). Despite multiple attempts to solve the problem, the dealer has not repaired the vehicle and the problem continues. This last time we have been without a vehicle for the whole month of September 2024. This represents a chronic anguish for our family, since we depend on our vehicle to be able to work in our accounting business. In addition to all this, this problem with the unit has created an insecurity in us, since at any time it can leave us without service; we have the responsibility to pick up and leave our grandchildr INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),

On 11/9/24 the vehicle began emitting a burning odor from the hvac air vents. The vehicle was charged to 100% and was driven for about an hour before the burning smell began. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety of myself and others around me are put at risk, due to the possibilty of a vehicle fire due to the 95B recall. The problem has been reproduced when I drive the vehicle after an hour, of a full charge. The vehicle is being taken to a dealership. There were no warning messages when the burning smell began. Dealer states they are unable to reproduce the burning smell, and that there is no remedy available for the battery recall 95B. In addition dealer states, there is no remedy available to request a replacement battery from Stellantis prior to the 95B software update being released first. I feel there is a risk of injury, death and damage to property due to the vehicle producing a burning smell, when on a full charge.

I am experiencing 2 issues with the vehicle. 1. I am not sure exactly which component is affected, but on several occasions I have had the car essentially stop responding WHILE I"M DRIVING. While driving on the highway, the car somehow loses response, I don't know any other way to describe it. It's almost like the car switches to Neutral, but the gear indicator still says it's in Drive. Pressing the gas pedal does nothing, the car just continues to glide along, steadily slowing. On these occasions I have had to pull over to the breakdown lane, nothing in the car responds, changing the gear does nothing, I have to shut the car off to kind of reset it. After a few minutes you can turn the car back on and it runs fine. 2. The display screen for controls, radio, etc... is black. The dealership tells me this is a widespread issue and the replacement radio units are not available. This has been going on for 3 months. No back up camera, no phone connection, no control over the display, nothing. I can't see the temperature or the mode beyond the actual buttons on the dash. At one point the dealership advised that they had received a radio and after waiting all day to get it back they told me it was dead in the box and they have no ETA on another one. During the first troubleshoot for the radio, the car was returned to me stuck in Spanish or Portuguese and they have not been able to get it out of that mode. So I currently get a warning numerous times per day but I have no idea what it's warnign me about, and the odometer is stuck in kilometers. (I truly believe they were BS'ing me about even having it in the first place after all the stringing along and lying they've done.) As of today, I have no ETA on a fix, and neither the dealership or the warranty company is able to provide any information.

On 10/10/2024, my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe (hybrid) had a battery fire at my home. Luckily, the fire department got it controlled before any additional property or any people were harmed, but under slightly different circumstances (middle of the night or parked in the garage) the house would have burned and my entire family could have been killed. After this incident, I read that Jeep/Stallantis issued a recall for this issue 10/1, but no timely attempt to contact owners was made. The guidance is that these vehicles should not be charged and should not be parked near buildings. Knowing this could have prevented this and any other similar fires, but I did not receive notification of the recall until 10/21 by mail. I receive emails from Jeep/Mopar weekly for useless information such as extended warrantees, so immediate notification should be simple. In fact I even made an appointment for an oil change on the same day as the fire and after a search for recalls, I was given NO information about this. Jeep is now investigating the incident, but Stellantis will not provide me additional information and this process may take months. I am now paying out of pocket for a rental car and still must pay the loan for a car that is totaled. Stellantis should be providing a car in the meantime and replacing my car (in a non hybrid model) as soon as possible, but no one has even contacted me to make sure everyone is ok. They should also be notifying owners affected by the recall by every means possible in order to prevent further damage to property and human injuries or even deaths.

Recall Number: 24V-720 Urgent/High Risk for Electric Battery to catch fire while being driven OR parked. Jeep currently has NO remedy for this recall which is designated as an URGENT fire risk when parked. The estimated wait time for a remedy is "months." Jeep has provided no options to the vehicle lessee to ensure operator safety- Jeep/Chrysler is not offering a trade-in option or an alternative vehicle to the vehicle operator at this time. Jeep/Chrysler has not equipped local dealerships with any viable options for owners/lessees to guarantee their safety while a remedy is being researched and formulated. Jeep/Chrysler was contacted and a recall case number was created for my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Lessee was told over the phone that I would receive communication from the Jeep battery recall team in 1-2 business days on October 4, 2024. No communication has been received to date. No warming lamps or messages received until October 4, 2024, with no remedy available.

The vehicle will run extremely rough and not accelerate when needed especially after filling the tank with gasoline. It will almost die in the intersection when you-??re trying to get past Traffic. It will not reach Highway speed at times and when you step on the gas the engine makes a strange noise and it slows down. The vehicle is very dangerous in this regard. One time I almost had an accident because of it. I have had the vehicle to the Jeep dealership at least six times for this issue and they cannot confirm that it happens on their own and they cannot fix it. I have video evidence of this problem taking place over many months. Chrysler and jeep will not help me. I am concerned about the welfare of the public if they are driving a similar vehicle.

While we (Husband, Wife, [XXX] old & [XXX] old daughter) were doing a cross country road trip from Olympia, WA to Raleigh, NC, we experienced a serious safety issue while driving in the State of Iowa on [XXX] The incident happened around 5 PM local time on [XXX] just before [XXX] in the outskirts of Davenport, IA. The GPS location of the incident is (XXX) While I was driving in this freeway on the left most lane doing around 70 mph, suddenly I lost power to the engines. Within seconds, I managed to my pull over my vehicle to the shoulder. After few trials of restarting my vehicle, I couldn't get it to start. So, I ended up calling the Jeep Roadside Assistance. Due to the concern of the safety of my family on the freeway, I called 911 seeking assistance for protecting my family inside the car from the fast moving vehicles. Within 15-20 mins of my call, the Roadside assistance personnel as well as the Iowa State Highway Helper arrived at the scene to assist us. The Tow truck person and the Highway helper both tried some steps to get my vehicle to start, but they couldn't. So, the tow person offered to tow my Jeep to the nearby Jeep Dealership (Kimberly Car City) at Davenport, IA (whom I called around 5:10 PM to alert them of my situation). The Tow person towed the vehicle and also rode me and my [XXX] to the Jeep dealership, whilst the Highway Helper rode my wife and [XXX] to the same dealership. We reached the dealership around 5:45 PM and they were closing at 6 PM. So, the dealership had a technician look at my vehicle the next day (XXX) and he found that my fuel sensors malfunctioned and wasn't displaying the correct fuel reading. Whilst the fuel gauge indicated that I was still having about 100 miles of fuel left to go, I was actually completely run out of fuel. Had I not acted within seconds, my vehicle would have come to a complete stop in the middle of the freeway posing severe danger to our lives. The engine would randomly accelerate, rev and make a whining noise, slip into neutral and I would have to pull over and shut it off sometimes in an unsafe area. Occasionally when I would start the engine it would rev as though I had my foot on the gas and I would shut it back off. I was traveling on the highway approximately 70 mph and cancelled the cruise control to go around a curve and pressed on the gas to merge into 70 mph traffic on another highway, and nothing happened. When I got to the end of the ramp the car was going 32 mph with my foot to the floor on the gas panic stricken. Suddenly the gas engaged and I shot into the traffic trying to avoid me. I took the car home, parked it in the garage and called a local dealership for service explaining the problems I was having. I went to resume my trip in a friends car because I was frightened to drive mine. While I was away my partner went to move the car a few feet to get to the trash barrel and when he put it in reverse the car shot 8 feet at high speed out of the garage and hit a tree. He went to the hospital and the car was taken on a flatbed to the dealership where I purchased it. There is considerable damage. The acceleration problem happened at least 15 times and I have several adults that were in the car and witnessed it. Chrysler did the diagnostics and said there is no defect. I would Never attempt to drive the car again and if I traded it in then an unsuspecting person could be hurt or killed in it.

The vehicle was newly acquired and was set to run on Electric mode. I was driving on the Highway at highway speed and suddenly without any warning, it lost all power due the what is called "FORM" making the electric engine unavailable. There was a semi truck right behind me which almost hit me since by losing my electric engine I dropped my speed suddenly. I had to pull over and try to figure out what was going on and switch to Hybrid mode. The issue is that #1 this comes without any warning at any moment, making your electric engine absolutely useless and then why do we even have the option of an Electric only engine. #2 we have no control on delaying even for just a few miles this FORM mode to allow us to get to a gas station or to a safe location since the button to switch to Hybrid mode is not located in an easy access while keep your eyes on the Road. #3 I end up in that FORM mode almost every other week now. This FORM is not even something that is communicated by JEEP in their advertisement. You can't find the information about it unless you end up having the issue and look for it. I don't even reach the advertised MPG due to the FORM. I use gas every day regardless so I should not need to be in FORM mode every other week

As noted on the IIHS.org website, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's built prior to April 2023 experienced a fuel tank rupture in the side impact test conducted by IIHS. Stellantis redesigned the underbody structure to correct this issue. This redesign was put in place on vehicles assembled after March 2023. IIHS originally tested a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee in October 2022 and identified the fuel tank rupture during the side impact test. However, IIHS did not post this information on their website until almost a year later when tests of the redesigned vehicle were performed, and the fuel tank leak issue had been corrected. Hence, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee-??s built prior to April 2023 have a significant safety concern that IIHS did not inform the public about in a reasonable time frame and more importantly, Stellantis is aware of but has not issued a recall to correct the issue on vehicles that were built prior to the redesign. Please review the side crash results on IIHS paying attention to the 2022 test where the fuel tank ruptured. Brings back memories of the infamous Ford Pinto gas tank design. I am asking for NHTSA to assist in requiring Stellantis to issue a recall on vehicles built prior to the redesign to either modify the vehicle to address the fuel tank rupture concern, or if that is not possible buy back the vehicles. Please contact me by e-mail [XXX] ) of cell [XXX] if you require more information to pursue this issue. Thank you. Gas gauge, miles to empty, and low fuel indicator are not correct. I ran out of gas (without knowing it) twice. There was no gad light that came on. Fuel gauge said almost 1/4 tank full and 68 miles to empty. The first time this happened I had it towed to dealership thinking the AEB system stopped the car. Dealership found no issues. It happened a second time and my husband thought about the gas gauges being inaccurate and put gas in. He was right, started right up after putting gas in. After I filled it, I drove 300 miles before the Full line on the gauge started to move down. The whole system is not right when showing fuel levels. You would think the gas light would at least come on if you were out of gas
