The vehicle was taken to Farris Motor Company (246 E Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760), where the driver's side and passenger's side front door panels modules, the radio frequency antenna and the infotainment system were replaced. Additionally, the dealer attempted to bypass the alarm by unplugging the hood latch; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to Farris Jeep Ram Chrysler Dodge (910 W Morris Blvd, Morristown, TN 37813) where the BCM was replaced, and the vehicle was temporarily repaired. The contact stated that the failures had been recurring. The contact disconnected the battery to prevent the alarm from sounding at night. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated because the battery disconnection had cleared the trouble codes. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.
2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that has been issued recall 94B (24-V-838) with no remedy currently available. While driving this vehicle, it displayed a message to stop and turn off vehicle as it will be shutting down soon. Without further warning, the vehicle shut down, all power, lights etc, while driving at posted speed of 55 MPH, which resulted in the need for the driver to pursue action to avoid what could have been a serious accident. The active error codes indicate an issue with the HCU/ABS module, which is what was recalled. Jeep has not provided any assistance during the 5 months since this recall was issued. This recall should be upgraded to a mandatory do not drive recall with a loaner vehicle to be provided by Jeep until a remedy is determined.
Active safety recall 94B stellantis issued 11/07 4+ months with no remedy!!!! I fear for my life and passangers every time I need to drive my vehicle. Stellantis should provide loaner vehicles to the consumer at no cost given their inability to find a remedy in a timely manner.
I am writing to formally express my frustration and deep concern regarding Recall 94B, which affects my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude and currently has no available remedy. This recall, as confirmed by Fox Chrysler Jeep in Southfield, MI, directly impacts critical safety features, including the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and other key functions essential for the safe operation of my vehicle. Given the severity of this issue-?"especially during Michigan-??s harsh winter months-?"I find it unacceptable that no resolution is currently available. Fox Chrysler Jeep has verified that all warning lights on my dashboard are related to this recall, yet they have informed me there is nothing they can do at this time. As a loyal Jeep owner, I am extremely disappointed that Stellantis has not yet provided a solution to an issue that directly compromises my safety and that of others on the road. Given the circumstances, I am requesting immediate assistance from Stellantis to explore options for getting out of my current vehicle and into a new or used vehicle that is not subject to such serious, unresolved recalls. I cannot continue to drive a vehicle that poses such a significant safety risk, and I believe Stellantis has a responsibility to provide a viable alternative for affected customers.

Electronic stability control, check engine and ABS lights are all on. This effects not only my ESC- I have gone out of control multiple times in bad weather, but because of this the cruise control and the automatic starter on my vehicle do not work either. I live in northern VT where winters are tough. ESC needs to be working properly to prevent potential for crash. I have come close several times this winter to going out of control. Also very annoying that the convenience items do not work. Lastly- these lights have been showing on the dash since last summer. I wanted to trade the vehicle in about this time and still do for a different vehicle but can not because of the dash being lit up. This is causing significant financial impact on my household as the vehicle is depreciating day by day and I would certainly not get what its worth with a dashboard full of mechanic error lights.
Screen is delaminating and sometimes it will randomly hut a button on the screen (seat warmer, radio change, etc). Sometimes this is sudden while on highway and distracts me to see what happened. Thus also makes it much harder to see when using backup cam sometimes to the point of it being useless.
Vehcile affected: 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Overland _ 2 wheel drive Vehicle Mfr Date - October 2018 The vehicle was in Park and engine was off. I got in the driver seat, mashed the brake, pressed the starter button, the starter responded so I immediately took my hand off the button. Even without my hand on the button the starter button would not disengage-?? it just repeatedly kept spinning and spinning and spinning. Kind of like it was hung or something. I had even tried pressing the start button again to make it stop but that didn-??t work-?? (The button went in and came back out with no problem so the button itself was not stuck) The starter just wouldn-??t disengage. I couldn-??t figure out what to do. It did this for at least 30 to 45 seconds-??. Like, My husband had time to get out of the backseat and WALK all the way around the front car to the driver-??s door. Right before he got there I tapped the brake pedal with my foot and it FINALLY disengaged and stopped trying to start the engine. This problem Scared the beejeebies out of me!!! The engine never started up when the starter wouldn-??t disengage. I had plenty of gas too - Just under a full tank of gas. Nothing coded. No problem indicator lights came on. Husband said it acted like either the bendix was stuck OR motor was spin over but would not successively crank up -?? it just kept spinning on its own I was not pressing the starter button anymore. This is the hardest thing to describe! All I know is-?? that was NOT normal!
I purchased a 2019 grand Cherokee and the radio started to delaminating. Called Jeep cares and they told me if I went and got a diagnostic saying that The screen was delaminating, and I got a diagnostic that said that they would put it in the system and it would be covered was ever said to me about a warranty because I-??m over my warranty, but I have an extended warranty through Lafontaine. It-??s called easy care and when they told me that I was excited because, I was gonna get my radio fixed because the radio is the main brains to the car controls the camera on the phone or settings. I-??ll have to get diagnostic. I called to make sure that was in the system and the lady told me that they changed the policy and that they would not cover it. The company knows all those radios that they put in those cars are defective and they are replacing them, but they-??re giving people a hard time that don-??t have a warranty and the fact that I was told it would be taken care of they should be held accountable to their word it-??s a contract, even if it was verbal. And spreading, and that means that that radio can take control of my car is a getting somebody hurt or myself. It is very distracting the screen where it-??s peeling on the inside.. Lafontaine told me Carol warranty and insinuated it was going to be covered. That-??s why I had to drive all the way up to Fenton to get the diagnostic done there and then once I did the diagnostic, they said there was no warranty and the dealership does not want to help me out of her hands Somebody has to be accountable for him. Jeep knows about the defective products and. Several people gone through the same thing. They would rather make people come to them and then try to collect all this money for their defective product. It was the beginning of September when I called and I talked to somebody from customer care a About the Jeep. I-??m finally complaints with whoever I can until they fix my radio like they told me they were going to
Well maintained and properly serviced car. Never had any issues. While driving out of town, 4hrs into the drive the electrical system went haywire. Error messages began cycling through on the driver panel - stability control lights, service air bag system, engine light comes up, and service bag system, after which the car loses total power. After pulling onto the side of the road, I placed car in park, and attempted to restart and it would not power on. All lights are working but the vehicle will not start - it makes starting sound but won-??t power on. After trying for about 30 minutes, the ac blower pop on, which was strange b/c the car was powered off. The car starts and is driven about a mile and the same thing happens all over. After trying another hour it starts again and drives another 2 hrs to my destination (at this time the radio and ac was powered off.) I chose to leave it off as I didn-??t want anything to stop vehicle since it was running. Upon arriving to my destination a mechanic looked at it and said the electric systems stopped communicating and he reset it. The vehicle drove around town, a fee miles here and there, seemingly fine. When I put it back on the highway to return home the next day, the problem started all over again. We ended up stranded on the side of the highway yet again and after about 20 minutes, the car started up. We were able to drive to the nearest gas station at which time I attempted to turn the car off, thinking that maybe that would help to reset it. At this time the vehicle would not turn off. The front windows were not operating. The windshield wipers would not come on. It just so happened to be raining heavily, and I had to drive in the rain with no windshield wipers. Next, all the instruments went down. Gas hand went to E, even though there was over 200 miles of gas. The blind spots warning lights lit up and remained lit, the car appeared to want to lose power, would putter but remained on. Made it home and car powered off.
Circulate button will automatically cause the heat and/or ac to blow full blast while vehicle is in drive/motion randomly. The only way to stop this from happening is to stop vehicle turn off engine and restart and instantly using screen to -??off-?? option for no heat and/or
I have a few different issues with my car. The transmission has been shifting roughly, there-??s a loud clunking sound when I put it in reverse, and I'm experiencing slipping, hesitation on acceleration, and sudden bursts of power. The car has been starting to jerk a lot. The engine has lost power while driving, which forced me to pull over on a busy highway at night with my kids in the vehicle. Fortunately, I was able to roll off the freeway, turn off the car, and after several attempts, I managed to drive home. Also my vehicle sometimes have a difficulty starting. I-??ll press the start button and no response. I-??ve also been dealing with electrical problems. My screen constantly freezes, goes blank or turns off. At times I can-??t connect my smart devices. My AC has broke, repaired and having problems again. I previously took my vehicle to the dealership to address issues with the AC. I mentioned these problems, and I was told they would be checked. However, an employee later said they couldn-??t find anything wrong. When I spoke to another employee, he admitted he wasn-??t aware of the issues. It-??s very frustrating dealing with these significant problems, especially since I can-??t trust my vehicle and always feel scared to drive out of town. All of this has been an ongoing issue. I have a few friends same model and year and they received recalls but I didn-??t. This is my only vehicle, I paid a lot of money for it and I shouldn-??t have to be dealing with this. Please help me.
My radio is delaminating. This vehicle is 4 1/2 years old and already delaminating. I noticed a slight delaminating last year now it-??s getting worse.
Uconnect screen is delaminated. Vehicle features change by themselves. Advanced electronic systems are connected through the system. Horn, lights on off by themselves
Uconnect screen with radio/nav/driver controls is delaminating, causing screens to change and overriding all driver selections. Safety issue. Multiple complaints on Jeep forum and class action lawsuit in 2022 which has been closed due to overwhelming number of complaints. It-??s a well known issue with FCA but they refuse to issue recall. Backup camera freezing and hand free difficult to use. Distracting and unsafe. FCA NEEDS TO ISSUE RECALL!
Our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee started to exhibit the following conditions: brake lights remained ON, ESC failure, AutoPark Failure, Cruise Control failure, vehicle started without depressing the brake pedal. I researched possible recalls and found Z48 for HCU/ABS module failures. Our vehicle was in the recalled build dates. We took it to Palace Chrysler Jeep Ram Inc. in Lake Orion, MI for repair. They "reflashed" the software, cleared the fault codes and returned the vehicle to us. In 3 key cycles, the failures returned. We took the car back to the dealership. They stated that the reflash wasn't done correctly. (blamed machine error) Reset the fault codes and in 3-5 key cycles the problem returned. Now on the third try, the dealership replaced the HCU/ABS module and charged us $1,100 for the repair. We requested reimbursement from Stellantis and have been denied 3 times. This is completely unacceptable since the Recall Z48 is for this exact problem. Also, it proves that their SW reflash doesn't fix the problem in some vehicles. We want Stellantis to reimburse us for this repair.
The 8.4 uconnect back up camera isn't working properly in my 2019 Grand Cherokee. I've spoken with several Jeep mechanics and they all say it's a faulty software issue with all of the 8.4 units.. There is a recall but Jeep dealers refuse to reinstall the faulty software.. Instead they want to replace the whole unit for 2000 dollars.. Everybody knows about this problem but nothing is being done
Hello, I own a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee still under warranty and in the last few months have noticed the display screen starting to delaminate, it has become an eyesore but it does not bother me. What does bother me is what happens as the display screen delaminates. The glue melts, and leaks onto wiring of all the components under the screen including the AC, all the parking sensors/rear sensors, and traction control, causing them to short out. Shortly after my screen started to delaminate I noticed a notification on my dash telling me that my rear sensors were no longer accessible. Since then I have had multiple cars in my blind spot that I could not see that posed the potentially threat of a terrible accident. After noticing this I went online to see if anyone else was having this problem and as soon as I clicked search, thousands upon thousands of reviews and message boards full of people having the exact same issue I am having came up. This is not only a problem with the 2019 it is also a problem with previous Jeep Grand Cherokee models and models after 2019, ex:'20, '21, '22. Jeep obviously knows that there is a flaw in their display screens because of all of the online commotion about it, but what I don't think they know is that this one problem causes many more problems due to the glue leakage onto other wiring underneath the display screen. With the amount of crucial wiring and electrical systems that newer model cars rely on, I feel that this is a huge safety concern not only for myself but for the hundreds of thousands of Jeep Grand Cherokee owners in the US. All it would take is a few drops of glue from the display screen to leak on a crucial component underneath the display screen shorting out the sensors to cause a horrific accident for drivers that have become use to their blind spot sensors and rely on them for safety. Please help us notify Jeep about this concerning issue so they can recall the screen and potentially save lives. Thank you so much!
While driving, my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo began smelling like burnt plastic, then a red warning triangle came on in the speedometer saying, -??stop safely vehicle shut off soon-??. At the same time, the engine warning light, battery warning light, and skid warning lights came on. I pulled over and when the car was examined the red plastic housing around the terminal that can be used to jumpstart the battery had melted. The vehicle is being towed to the dealer for a repair.
