Vibration that appears to be in the drive line appeared the first time we drove the vehicle on the highway after leasing. The vibration is most prominent at various highway speeds. Mainly 60 to 65 mph, 70 to 75 mph. It is also there at 40 to 45 mph but is hard to feel as you are on city streets and are constantly hitting potholes, manhole cover or cracks in the pavement. It gets even worse when we pull a utility trailer. It will make you arms go numb as it comes up the steering wheel and you can feel it in the seat. It, literally, makes me fell nauseous to drive it too long.
It has been to the dealer multiple time for the issue. Twice, I was told it was the tires had flat spotted because it sat too long before it was sold. I took it to another dealer. They can definitely feel the vibration. They re-balanced the tires and replace the front two half shafts but that didn't repair the problem. They called in an area tech advisor who attached machines to the Jeep to analyze the vibration. On the next couple of visits, they replaced the rear two half shafts, the right wheel hub, the front and rear driveshafts, and the transmission mount. The vibration still persists.
The regional tech advisor who had been analyzing the issue left on sick leave. A new regional tech advisor came in and spent a day with a machine analyzing the issue, disassembling and reassembling the Jeep trying to find the issue. As a last resort, the drove a identical 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee they had on the lot. It has the same vibration. Now, the dealer has said it is common to all of that models and won't do anything about it. If it is so common, why did they spend so much time trying to fix it?
Update from Mar 26, 2020: Have opened a Lemon Law file. I started this complaint to see if anyone else has this problem. FCA says it is common to all Jeep Grand Cherokees with V8, auto, air suspension. If any one else has had this problem, please contact me.
