2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Have only owned it a year. I did research on this engine. Jeeps propaganda was that they had the problems fixed with this engine, so I bought it. Six months later I could hear and feel a misfire sitting at lights, in the driveway, ect. Didn't do it all the time. Then became more apparent. I replaced the spark plugs. Drove it, misfire continued. Next I changed all the coils. Misfire continued. My wife is a traveling nurse in Ohio. She called and said this misfire thing is getting worse. She took it to a repair facility my son-in-law takes his car. They again put in plugs, coils, did and engine oil flush, changed the VVT coils. No improvement. They said it has to be internal. Took the valve covers off, sure enough, valve train components JUNK. Lifters, Rockers, Cams, Valve guides JUNK. They said we can put it back together and you can drive it that way til it quits or fix it. Can't drive it that way, fix it. 6,000 dollars for the repair. JEEP NO HELP, assigned an associate for my case. They never called. I called them four times, always assured case manager would get back with me. She never did. Finally received an email saying they would not help.
