Jeep has been stalling/dying while driving. Would restart and go a few hundred feet before dying again. Studder/misfire when attempting to accelerate. Now won't start at all. Towed to shop and advised bad TIPM and is a common issue. Parts on back order may take a month or longer to get part. Manufacturer is aware of issue and had recall on earlier model years and was sued/class action lawsuit. More model years need recalled. Only 30K miles on this Jeep. Once replaced will need to determine what other parts may have been damaged by this issue. I can't wait to join class action lawsuit when another is filed.
Update from Sep 5, 2024: 4 weeks since towed into garage. Now that the TIPM has been replaced I am informed the Dual fuel pumps are bad. 3700.00 so far on a vehicle with only 30K miles. Outside of warranty not because of miles, but because it is a 2018. Purchased brand new. I am the only driver and drive approximately 5K miles a year. You buy a new vehicle to avoid problems and now adays it doesn't seem to matter if new or used.
