My opinion as an Airline mechanic for almost 40 years is based on what Jeep discovered to repair my blower motor that one harness pin located under the fuse/relay box had little interference fit. This may have caused heat to build up and possibly overheated connection. This blower motor / auto temp / a/c freeze up / gas door pops open / start stop / blower slows down problem began at 3599 miles and I have only 14500 miles currently.
As the dealer service advisor explained to me, harnesses on other jeeps have been found melted. All I can say is after they admitted in writing that they tightened the pin connection to my blower motor, and the blower NOW blows full speed as it should. Only took 10 trips to 3 different professional dealers to fix that part.
My question is what about all the rest of the loose pins? Speaking with a lemon law attorney, rumor is Jeep seems to be the top leader of electrical wire problems. I wonder why? Maybe that's why my climate control blows 134 degree heat when it is set to manual 71 degrees Fahrenheit. Why play games with me Jeep? I think I know the answer.
Both zones drop to LO uncommanded. How can you tell a 48,000 dollar customer your vehicle is repaired after it was proven to be false a repeated number of times already, and have the nerve to do it again? Don't buy a JEEP - they are riding on their past reputation they have built up in the past. The trust is now gone. And the people trying to help you surprisingly don't work there any more. And now they want to inconvenience me some more and bring it back again!
I'm looking at the Ford Explorer, or a new Bronco for a replacement after my lemon law claim is resolved.
