Purchased a previously leased vehicle at a Chrysler dealership. Before making the 3rd payment, the a/c was working just fine in the morning, then in the evening was blowing hot air. Took it to the dealer, who is great, but the part - a power distribution module - is on back order. They are working on finding one, but said it could take 3 days or a month to get it in. For now I have a loaner vehicle, while we narrow down the wait time.

Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

The AC stopped working in my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.6L V6 4X4 days after the warranty expired. Prior to that there were some eccentricities - different functionality of driver and passenger vents, lack of consistency on the same setting. It has been making weird noises since I purchased the vehicle (new) and the dealership told me this was normal.

There has also been weird smells (my wife calls it "cow smell") for a couple years, and the dealership also had no solution for this issue. I have heard similar complaints from other owners. This should be a recall. I haven't fixed it because it is an obvious defect and there is no recall yet, but now it is hot as hell and my vents will only blow even hotter air.
