Vehicle has bizarre software or electrical problems which result in it stalling unpredictably. There is an audible "pop" sound from the speakers and the display flashes over white and the vehicle stalls. It can be restarted but the problem recurs. My Jeep dealer did not diagnose the problem.
When I braked for pedestrians, the auto stop feature turned off engine as I entered a sloped parking space. After pedestrians cleared, I depressed the accelerator. When the engine eventually restarted, the car surged forward and hit a wall at the end of the parking space---damaging the bumper.
