I was a block away from dealer driving home, as they couldn't reproduce the error I was seeing (picture attached), when the error triggered again. The Jeep GC flashes the message, a chime sounds, and the check engine icon appear. Typically I'm driving along and "get stuck" in 8th, or 3rd. Returning to the dealer, AND not turning off the vehicle, the Service team was able to see two codes. A code suggesting replacement of PCM ("Powertrain Control Module"), and a second code suggesting MAT (or MAP - I'm not certain) Sensor replacement. (Note: I'm told the MAT, or MAP, has something to do with diesel turbo?).
Left Jeep with dealer for weekend, they'll get parts in, repair, and test drive a bit. Crossing fingers. I love the Jeep, but can't have a $50K unreliable means of transportation. Stay tuned. Will follow-up here.
