My jeep has started experiencing rough driving and the gears slipping. I took it for service and they told me all the issues wrong were under a recall. (NHTSA 23-E-019) equipment safety recall 21A. He indicated: uplift timing, torque converter engagement, shift points, calibration issues, downshifts and other things. I called my local dealer and gave them my vin but they stated my vehicle has not been recalled and they won't fix it. The big concern is the slipping gears. It lungs forward at times and I am scared it is going to cause an accident. It is very rough to drive. The service 4 wheel drive system light came on. It started 4/27/23. It is very bad when turning the vehicle and driving slow.

While in motion, vehicle lost all power; the engine stalled, brakes failed and lost power steering. The vehicle shifted into neutral. I put the vehicle back in drive and it went back to neutral. I turned the ignition off and restarted. My husband was driving and I was in the passenger seat, with my 5 year old daughter in the backseat. If there had been oncoming traffic, we-??d have hit them head on.

At a speed of 30mph, was slowing down coming up to a red light, as the brakes were being pressed the motor began to rev up and try to accelerate despite me fully pressing the brakes. I had to put the vehicle in neutral and shut it down. I merely missed hitting another vehicle. I called the dealer who had no information for me. No warning lights were on or prior to the reving and acceleration of the vehicle as I was trying to come to a stop at a red light. I am reading numerous forums of Jeep owners reporting the same issue. This really should be investigated before someone is seriously injured or killed, which maybe there have been reports of such already. In my case, there was no injury or damage because I was lucky enough to have no vehicle beside me and had a place to vere off to to pull over quickly. If that hadn-??t been the case, an accident would have occurred. I can-??t say if this vehicle has malfunctioned like this previously because I purchased 2 days ago.

Was driving down the road it was raining no other vehicles around BRAKING! came on the screen and the brakes were applied without me doing it. The second time it happened brakes locked up on interstate for a couple seconds then back to normal. If anyone would have been behind us we would have been rear ended. It happened 2 times within an hour. I will be getting it looked at by the dealership as soon as I can.

The part that failed is identified as the Oil Cooler, I will request the dealer provide the defective unit. The part number for the Oil Cooler 68211323AB. There are two areas that would pose a safety concern when the Oil Cooler fails. When the Oil Cooler fails, oil is let into the cooling system. The oil level continues to fall to a point where it is very likely the engine will seize. There is no check engine indicator, the oil temperature indicator shows no rise in temperature. You would not know that there is any problem, If that happens while the vehicle is in motion it could prove to put occupants in jeopardy of injury. The second area of concern, as the oil bleeds into the cooling system it is unable to adjust for the additional fluid. The cooling system reservoir fills up and begins to overflow each time the vehicle is started and driven. The reservoir overflow is in the front right side of the engine compartment. When car is parked the oil flows on to everything that is below it. But when the car is in motion the oil covers the right side of the engine compartment. The result of the overflow could lead to a fire in the engine compartment, Oil on the rotor and brake could result in the malfunction of the brake mechanism. With oil in the cooling system the smell of diesel is very strong in the passage compartment. This may, lead to headaches, nausea, and eye irritation. The dealer did confirm the problem and provided a quote of $8600 to repair. The car has been inspected by and independent mechanic and the dealer-??s mechanic. As noted earlier there was no warning that a problem was occurring. The first sign of a problem was on the 17th of September. A large oil spill in my garage.

Driving, lost all power to steering, brakes and engine. Crossed over double yellow and narrowly escaped a collision with the guardrail. Had any car been in the opposite lane, I would have been severely injured. I am a mother of two. It was sudden as without warning. Additionally I had to call out of work hence loss of income.

It was freezing outside, but not icy on the road. Well lit. I was not in a rush. Car was in excellent shape up until then. I was going ~10 pmh down the inside parking garage driveway. Had to pull to the right due to car coming up partially on my side. Scratched the side wall. Once that happened, the car accelerated out of control. Brakes didn't react. Only way to stop the car before running into other cars or even people was steering the car into the wall front on. The car finally stopped, the wall broke down. The airbags didn't go off, the brake assistance system didn't kick in. Fortunately nobody was hurt, but could have easily happened. The car is a total loss. I was not under the influence of drugs and don't have a seizure disorder. Witnessed every single second fully awake and aware.

A big warning comes on my dash board saying brakes and automatically stops while driving on the highway. This happened twice. It is scarey because there is no reason I need to brake nor can I control that the car is force braking it self. I have read 2 other complaints about this issue and both have ended in crashing the vehicle due to the computer force braking itself in the SUV.

Coming out of a tunnel, wet surface, slight turn, and the automatic braking system known as traction control locked brakes and steering up on it's own causing car to hydro plane into a curb and a wall. I had no control but if I did I could have controlled the car and prevent the crash.

The incident occurred on or about Thursday, April 10th 2019 at 12:10am. It involves the brakes of the vehicle not being able to stop the vehicle at low speeds. The entire incident was captured on a high-quality front-facing dashboard camera with audio, video, and gps. There were no injuries. Description of the incident is as follows: While I was on the interstate 10 West freeway in redlands, ca, I maneuvered to the most right lane on the highway in preparation to approach an exit less than 1 mile away (university ave.) due to lane closures (left lanes) at the time I was on the freeway, traffic was bumper-to-bumper and very low speed. While in the most right lane and still at very low speed, I engaged the adaptive cruise control feature on the vehicle. Within around 5 seconds of engaging the adaptive cruise control, the vehicle slowed down to a stop because of the vehicle in front of mine had stopped. At that point, the cruise control feature self-disengaged as normal. Only a few seconds later, the vehicle possibly abnormally vibrated. As the vehicle continued to creep forward in traffic as normal, I applied the brakes to stop, but the vehicle would not stop or slow down. As I nearly approached colliding with the vehicle ahead of me, I engaged the parking/emergency brake with my foot, and that did not seem to slow or stop the vehicle either. A second attempt to engage the parking brake did nothing as well. Within a few seconds, the car almost slowed to a stop due to rolling friction and a slight uphill grade in that portion of the freeway. I placed the vehicle in park at this time and restarted the car. After restarting, I was able to drive and brake properly the rest of my short journey home. This entire episode is captured on my dashboard camera, and it seems others on the internet have complained about this issue as well.

The automatic emergency braking system activates on the highway for reason. I have been to the dealer repeatedly during the warranty period and they can't fix the problem. It activates at times with nobody in front of me and sometimes with a clear lane ahead of me and a truck next to me. This has happened numerous times since I bought the vehicle three years ago.

My vehicle has active collision protection. The system is awesome however it seems like when you apply the brake the vehicle assumes your depth perception and senses will avoid a collision. I think the vehicle computer and sensors should still make the ultimate decision to stop the vehicle. Also, should there not be a sensor for temperature in this system to take into account the possibility for ice and snow? thank you.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving 45 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to stop the vehicle. As a result, the contact rear ended the preceding vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact was not injured; however, the driver of the other vehicle sustained unknown injuries that required medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not towed. The contact called an unknown dealer, but the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.

Forward collision warning system with brake mitigation continues to engage intermittently on its own. This is not to be taken lightly. The forward collision warning with brake mitigation engages intermittently, out of the blue, when there is no need. Meaning; I'll be driving along... no cars or objects in front of me, and all of a sudden the system slams on the brakes, jerks very abruptly, audible bells go off and the screen illuminates brake brake brake! there have been 3 instances in which my family and I have nearly been rear-ended due to this erratic behavior that the vehicle is demonstrating. I've been in a comparably equipped loaner car for the past five weeks and it has not demonstrated this type of inconsistent, erratic behavior. This vehicle is unsafe to drive, be in or around. The Jeep was purchased on July 9, 2016. I have taken the vehicle into the service department 4 times since July 21, 2016. After examination of damage, electric tech review and 2 test drives (32 miles and 100 miles) the response I get is, "the system is working as designed." The vehicle has been in service 51 of the 103 days of ownership, 49.5%. the selling/servicing dealer and manufacturer has been extremely negligent in providing transparency to any similar issues to mine. Quite frankly, they haven't communicated much of anything to me. The last time the service advisor reached out to me, via text, was on September 23, 2016. My customer experience has been awful. I do not feel safe in an fca vehicle, nor do I respect any of their corporate or dealer network associates. This is the worst consumer experience of my life. Unbelievable that my safety is not a concern to fca or the selling/servicing dealer. If it were, I would have been provided a full refunded and free to go elsewhere make a purchase with a manufacturer that I trust and appreciates me, the customer.

I had been driving this vehicle for several days, I notice when I brake. It would not stop. I notice this 6 different times. My daughter came hone one morning and said to me. Be careful driving today, it is light rain and you know those brakes don't always work. Be careful, well I had a accident. The car in front of me stopped and I was far enough to stop but the car would not stop when I hit the brakes. I ran into the car I front of me. There was no damage to her car, just a little hot. My car looked like I slammed into a brick wall. I was on the highway, going 30 miles a hour

Once I had completed parking the vehicle in a parking lot in front of a shopping center properly shifting the gear into the park position. My boyfriend began to exit the passenger side to help our two year old son from his car seat as I had began to release my foot from the break pedal. It was at that moment that the vehicle began to roll forward I quickly placed my foot back onto the break pedal stopping the vehicle which still indicated it was in park. With my foot remaining on the break pedal I shifted the gear into drive and into park, again. To ensure the vehicle was now parked. The vehicle did not move and I placed the emergency parking break on and have continued to do so since the incident. At no point in time during the incident did the vehicle alert me in any way that the vehicle was not in the proper gear position. It in fact read that it was in the correct gear position of park.

I brought my vehicle to mark Dodge Jeep dealer at 3777 gerstner memorial blvd, lake charles, la 70607, (337) 474-2640, on 6/17/16 for the left front brake caliper recall. They checked the part and determined I needed a replacement. They told me they ordered it, however it has still not come in yet, and that was over 3 months ago. I have called them several times during this 3 month period. Each time they report a different story. Once they said it was on back order and they could only order one brake caliper per week. Another time they said I was next on the list to get one. They next time they said it was in, but they called back to say it was not in. They have told me a number of excuses that never add up. They cannot tell me when the part will arrive or what to expect. Please investigate this dealer and the process they are using to fix these recalls. I would like to get this issue repaired and dont feel that I should have to go through the expense and time to drive to another city to have this recall repaired.
