I purchased Jeep new in April of 2015. In April of 2018 I took it into Neilsen Jeep in East Hanover for an issue with bubbling paint on the hood, and they told me that it was a known issue and that at first FCA was changing the hoods due to a known problem with the welds. I was then told that FCA had a fix for the problem and could seal the faulty welds. So I dropped the Jeep off and had to pay for a ridiculously overpriced rental car at my own expense (which FCA refused to pay BTW).
January of 2020 21 months after the repair the problem has resurfaced again. So I brought it back to Neilsen Jeep on Feb. 2nd. After not hearing back for two weeks I called the customer service department of FCA who told me they had not yet received a submitted the warranty claim, and a week later I called the dealer back only to leave messages that were not returned so I called FCA customer help again, they told me I should try another dealer so I took the Jeep to Ricci Jeep in Budd Lake NJ, after not hearing anything for 3 weeks I called FCA again who informed me the warranty claim was rejected back on March 11th.
I asked the representative Joshua for his full name (which he refused) and his location (which he also refused to provide). I asked for a letter of rejection in writing (which he also refused and told me it was against their policy) Jeep obviously has a policy of not standing behind their products. I guess my next step is to start writing letters of my tale of woe to the new CEO Michael Manley headquartered in London.
