CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 (and 2015) Jeep Grand Cherokee have a serious defect trend of transmission complaints. Most of the complaints are for rough shifting — things like jerking & hesitation when shifting gears.
Auto light comes on and beeps the entire time you are driving, even though nobody is sitting on the seat and there is nothing on the seat causing you to have to buckle the seat belt. In order to workaround the issue, which is a real pain, when you expect that people should be able to sit in the front seat without having to unbuckle the seat before entering the car. In addition, who knows what type of security issue this may present if the car thinks or doesn't think that someone is sitting in the front seat and for some reason an airbag doesn't deploy.
this jeep Grand Cherokee has been giving me problems from day one.the transmission is awful
has a mind of his own, shifts whenever it feels like it and at times this truck has no power to go anywhere
between speeds of 35/45 miles per hour. Air condition AUTO system is horrible, you need to place the system on manual control in order for the fan to blow when you first get in to the vehicle on a hot day.
Now,another issue - seat belt and air bags modules need to be replaced ,lite flashing on dashboard showing seat belt and air bags need service.went to dealer to find out that this parts are not available at this time
they are on back order, no idea when they will be in. The dealer told me to take the truck and they will contact me when they get the parts.they would reserve comment whether the air bags or the seat belt
will function in case of a crash.I have contacted Jeep headquarters and had no success in resolving this
problem. My truck is still at the dealership and i do not know if its safe to drive. This vehicle looks great
but the electronic system is a total disaster. We all should get our money back,Thank God its a LEASE.
