1) The valve body-electrical 2) my car stopped in the middle of the road the while driving with my kids. When I placed car in park it would not go back in drive, but the dash kept blinking that the car was in drive. The issue prevented me from turning the car off so i had to unplug the battery to ensure the battery wouldnt die. 3)The problem has been confirmed by a dealer 4) Vehicle hasnt been inspected by police or insurance rep 5)no warnings or symptoms prior to the problem.

The vehicle has been making this electrical noise inside the vehicle. The vehicle upon accelerating, would hesitate to go then jerk. The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic technician. It was suggested that the vehicle TCM be replaced. It was replaced and the jerking still exist. The vehicle out of nowhere started having these unexpected electrical issues. This caused the cooling system fan to not work. I ordered a new cooling system fan and had it replaced/installed. However, these issues along with other safety concerning issues have continued to occur. This vehicle can cause significant serious injury or injuries to the owner or others. The vehicle would lock up occasionally. This model jeep (2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L) has some safety concerns. This need to be fixed immediately before it cause catastrophic damages/injuries to others.

My instrument cluster (where the speed, gas level, engine temperature, etc. Is displayed) had completely blacked out. It was periodically coming on. But it's not coming on at all anymore. I've taken it to the dealership, had it replaced (with a used part), had the wiring checked, also tried reprogramming the instrument cluster. Nothing has worked. There was a recall for this same exact problem, with the same exact vehicle except my vehicle was manufactured 3 months after the recall notice called for vehicle manufactured through Aug 2013 my was November 2013. I feel that my vehicle also should've been part of that recall notice.

I was driving home from dinner and while driving I got a notification on the dashboard and then few moments later it locked up and everything started turning off. Incuding the radio, AC but not the car. The car would not drive once I got it on the side of the road. The car would not turn off due to not being able to place car in park. It was stuck in drive. My husband had to come over and put his foot on brake and take over the wheel. He then hit the power button for 5 seconds and it went into park and turned off. We called a tow company to take it to dealership to get fixed. We seen we had some recalls so we asked if that was the issue they said yes and ordered parts to fix. Days and weeks went on got car back and when I drove home my car I will say does not feel safe for me to be in nor be on the road. I had smoke inside my car where battery is when on side of road which one day will be where my kids are. Also they said nothing was wrong with alternator but when on side of road I could smell burnt alternator. They said was fine and recall wasn't needed. I do not feel safe at all nor does my husband feel safe driving the car. Dealership we bought from never told us about the recalls when we bought in 2020, and now this dealership saying it doesn't need to be done we do not feel the car is safe to be on road and will be fire hazard down road.

Fuel pump failed. Electric control module/system failed. I have been having these problems since 2021. When it first started my car stalled out, completely died, and started rolling (even though I was pressing the brakes) - I had to pull my E brake and luckily stopped an inch away from hitting the car in front of me coming to a stop because the light turned red. My entire car shut down. I had to get a tow. I took it in to a shop and they had no idea really what happened or what it was. They told me a bunch of stuff was bad (thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff) and I ended up only getting whatever was absolutely necessary which was the fuel pump and battery. $1300 later it was driving at least. Ever since then my gas gauge has NEVER been accurate and just goes up and down randomly. I have to track my gas by resetting the miles of my -??total trip-?? when I fill up. My dashboard constantly went on and off and I never knew what was accurate and what wasn-??t. About 6 months ago my dashboard went completely black and hasn-??t came on since. My car is now barley taking over 4 gallons of gas at a time before the auto stop on the pump cuts off. If I try refilling anyways gas overflows. This makes absolutely no sense. I can-??t see how fast im going, hear my blinkers go on and off, see how much gas I have, how many miles are on my car, any check engine lights, and now I can-??t drive over 75 miles without having to -??fill up-?? my measly 4 gallons again before the pump shuts off. I was never notified of any recalls but there is absolutely no way my car is excluded from them. The electronic control module is fried, I can-??t even get gas, and a brand new battery and fuel pump was clearly just a miniature band aid on this disaster chain of problems. I-??ve only had this Jeep for like 5 years too and what it-??s worth is not even worth a fourth of the cost it would be to fix all of this.

7/2020 lifters and cam failure @65k miles. 4+ weeks dealership did repairs. They never disclosed the major engine repair or gave me any paperwork while I waited to pick up this jeep after I purchased it. 8/2020 lifters and cam repaired. 19 miles & 1 day spun crankshaft bearings & damaged cylinder walls. 1.5 weeks for dealership to get a new Mopar 6.4 Hemi long block vvt mds engine. 8/2020 new Mopar long block 6.4 hemi installed at dealership. paid $2k since I didn't know about the dealerships concealed major repairs. 8 dealership and 3 penzoil. All (0w40 penzoil ultra-platinum) Dealership maintained & repaired pads/rotors..Waterpump..headlight bulbs and some other minor things. 10/2023 38k miles later the new engine had lifter and camshaft failure. Dealership said the 60/100k warranty I paid for with the previous mopar long block engine purchase was not activated ànd they had no record of it other then the work order/repair bill I have, with start date & miles and end date & miles And deductible. Jeep customer care said my jeep was imported from Canada and is void of any and all parts warranty. So that's why dealership couldn't register my jeeps engine warranty. Sale person said the jeep was USA built spec but it's a Quebec Canadian build spec imported into USA. I got the original window sticker downloaded its French & metric. So no warranty. Fraudulent sale of a gray market import with no disclosure of the major issue they tried to repair while I waited for my jeep. I already purchased it $37k but was waiting on them to prep it for sale and deal with my trade in. Low mile 2013 dodge charger RT max AWD with every option and dealership maintained. I filed a complaint with NHTSA for defects and another for the Fraudulent concealment of known a major engine failure along with concealment of repair attempts/defect though BBB, Google and consumer car complaints. I'm retaining an auto dealership fraud/consumer protection attorney to file against Feldman Automotive Group

My youngest son was away at college, using the vehicle to go to and from class. He was driving the Jeep home for summer break when suddenly, the wipers turned on and the dashboard warning lights lit up the dash like a Christmas tree. He did not know what to do, who would? Then the dashboard went completely black. He tried turning off the wipers and then suddenly the car shifted into park in the middle of traffic all on its own, with cars on both sides. He was fortunate that he was not rear-ended and severely injured. My son is a cautious driver, as he fears any accident that could end his athletic career. He pulled over and turned the jeep off and then on and things looked normal. No more flashing dash warning lights, so he continued down the road, hazard lights on, paying close attention to vehicles around him. The dashboard warning lights were flashing repeatedly, vehicle auto shifting itself, dash going completely black and vehicle stalling in moving traffic...this happened several times on his way home. What my son experienced on the road, has happened to me several times since. It is a very frightening and dangerous experience. I believe I have been grossly misled by Chrysler Jeep Sales and continue to be misled about the soundness of my vehicle and the after reporting to the AutoNation (Chrysler Jeep) Service Department, the dangerous situation my family was in by driving my Jeep, I feel I was not dealt with fairly. Is this how they treat all customers or is it because I am Latina and a woman" With a vehicle with so many recalls, so many complaints and so many investigations by the NHTSA, it is a wonder why it is still on the road. Those who know would say, because no one has died, yet. Should that be the accepted answer or response? Should someone have to lose their life before this vehicle is taken off the road" Please see my attached document. I urge you to do a thorough investigation of these serious safety issues. (CPU, modules have been ongoing issues

Our car was stopped and then engine started intermittently lunging forward for no reason. Rear ended the car in front of us and had to use the emergency brake to stop the car. Jeep Corp sent an independent inspector to check the car but only shared the car was drivable and didn't say there was a problem. They wouldn't share the computer findings with us or the dealer, only that is was drivable. They also wouldn't allow the dealer to see the computer while it was being tested. The car is currently parked and we bought another car. Waiting for Jeep to cover replacing parts or do something to the Jeep before it has another accident.

While using cruise control and traveling at a speed of approximately 70 miles per hour on the highway, my car accelerated on its own and ai had I had to hit the brakes. I was thankfully able to slow it down, to which the entire car shuts down. The vehicle completely shut off and would not start. I had to have it towed to Jeep and they told me it was not one, but BOTH fuel pumps had failed. They charged me over $1700. There is currently a recall for this very issue and Jeep made no attempt to fix it. I had no idea there was even a recall for this until now and this happened a few years ago.

Car shut down and engine stalled while driving. I coasted to a stop in the middle of traffic. Car would not restart. Had to get towed home. There are two open recalls on this vehicle- one for fuel pump and one for tone wheel. The dealers say they can-??t fix it because no parts are available. This is unacceptable. One recall has been issued over a year ago. This is my primary vehicle. I have already had to borrow a family members vehicle for weeks now. I cannot wait months hoping for parts to become available. I need recall work to be performed now or at least a temporary fix to get me back on the road.

My JGC 2014. I was on a 5 lane interstate in the far left lane when my car started decelerating at a speed of 64mph. As I was merging into the left emergency lane it switched into neutral gear. I then proceeded to stop and put the Jeep into park and turn it off. Prior to this incident my check engine light had just illuminated a month prior and I ran a diagnostic computer test and it returned stating it was an EVAP problem. I haven-??t had any systems. So I was waiting on my first check to get it taking care of (meaning no gas smell in the cabin, no fuel leaks under vehicle, no bad gas mileage). So the police came to my rescue and helped me pull the emergency neutral pull in the middle console in order to get it off closer to the median so I wouldn-??t get hit until I could get a tow. Well it wouldn-??t turn over again. It sounded like I had a fuel pump problem but when I went to turn it on but not over I heard my fuel pump cut on. So no problems there! So my battery started running low in voltage so I charged it with a battery pack and it got around 13 v and I unplugged it. It-??s a 14 v battery. Well I got my vehicle turned in the off position the emergency neutral gear unlocked and then my windshield wipers started and the car was not on. I heard clicking in the fuse part under the hood so I found that fuse and pulled it. I think took a fuse checker and checked every fuse in my box they all had fire. On my dash it started saying system brake suspension and the check engine light was off. So I checked it with the computer diagnostic tester and it said a code of all U-??s which were the ECU and the TCM and the gear shifter which was the only P.O. code. So we took my gear shift off and cleaned it and hooked it back up. It was nasty. And it would slap again but not show on my dashboard. So I reset my battery and nothing. I am so upset about this. I-??ve worked on every vehicle I-??ve owned and this is mind boggling. Everything is up to date and seems fine

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly shifted into neutral and lost motive power. The contact received Police assistance when the vehicle failed to immediately restart. The contact was then able to pull the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway. The transmission and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure due to a lack of power. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V332000 (Electrical System, Vehicle Speed Control) for which the VIN was included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 176,000.

The left bank intake camshaft and roller rockers have failed. It has cause the check engine light to come on and go off reading a misfire in cylinder 2. After costly repairs to coil packs and plugs, Chrysler is now going to replace with a cost of $1,900. This is the same issue in the 2013 Jeep that Chrysler extended the warranty on and won-??t do it now on this year model.

Started the car and heard a high pitched whining coming from engine compartment. Reversed the vehicle about 20-25 feet and smelled burning rubber and then smoke started coming from the engine compartment. Turned off the vehicle and opened the hood, and saw that smoke was coming from the alternator. The alternator continued to smoke for approximately 15-20 minutes. We had the vehicle towed to a mechanic as it was completely inoperable at this point, and we had to have the alternator and battery replaced, as well as a wiring harness. The replaced alternator was shown to us by the mechanic and it was black and melted in spots. This seems related to NHTSA Safety Recall T36/NHTSA 17V-435, but NHTSA site is showing no open recalls for the vehicle and Chrysler insists the vehicle is not under any recalls.
