I noticed things like the cluster going completely black at random and it would last for seconds before re-illuminating; it happens while driving. I took in my vehicle to the dealership on June 28, 2022, two days prior, I noticed that my doors were unlocking while I was inside my workplace, the alarm was going off another day and I noticed shifting issues with the transmission. On June 27, 2022 I was forced to buy a brand new battery because the Jeep was running in Power Saving Mode, instead of taking a risk with a low battery, I bought a new one and thought everything was good, but it continued to run in Power Saving Mode; I received two CEL CODES, both correlating to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Later that evening my son informed me that the cluster light was still on, the JEEP had been parked for several hours so there was no reason for the light to still be ON (WAKE MODE?). Also, I notated the codes I received before I had to have the Jeep towed to the dealership on Jun 28th to compare to what the service dept came up with; however on Jun 28th I attempted to jump the battery to take it to the service center but it wouldn-??t Jump or charge; what happened was, just before the cluster went haywire, the wipers were moving across the windshield while it was in an OFF position, the UCONNECT was glitching out then went black, Cluster warned to service the electronic ABS and the SHIFTER, the fuse box was vibrating and shuddering very loudly, a hissing noise was coming from the back of the vehicle (could be the fuel pump? like compressed air) so by Monday morning, the 27th the battery had completely died and by the time it got to the dealership on Tues, I had to use the battery warranty to replace the battery so that the service department could then diagnose the Jeep. Fine, the battery was replaced Jun 30th with a brand new one, but by Fri Jun 8th I was told I need another brand new battery. All the issues had had a prior recall and seem to be reoccurring.
The shifter system (monostable shifter/ electronic shift module) malfunctioned 4 times so far. It has been to the dealer 3 times and the following has been replaced: the electronic shift module, the shift head/knob, the electronic shift module again, and finally the wiring itself, and now 10 miles after picking up my car that was being serviced since Monday (it is Friday now), I have the same issue and it makes my car stuck in first or second gear, I cannot shift into park or out of drive unless I shut the engine off, it puts my car into limp mode and won't let me accelerate or else the car jerks, my infotainment screen intermittently shuts off, and I get the following warning lights and messages: Check engine light, Braking system light, TPMS light, traction control light, "Service Electronic Braking System" message, "Service Shifter" message with OBD code U1467, "Service Power Steering" message, "Service Transmission- Continue in D. Do not shift or turn engine off" message. The PRND lights on the shift knob also flash. This is very dangerous as my car cannot be shifted out of drive (into park), the car won't accelerate or move above whatever speed 1st gear or 2nd gear will allow me to, the car physically jerks forward, and whatever systems like power steering, braking, etc. that may be affected based on the warning lights. I only get the diagnostic code U1467 which is for the shifter, though.
Vehicle lost braking ability intermittently. Had to drive off the road to stop the vehicle without hitting something. Brake light came on the dash but then went off and brakes worked as normal. This has happened several times now. All randomly.
I just bought my car from a local dealership about 3-4 weeks ago. Upon receiving it I found no issues. A couple days later, every time I would go to push start my car, it would lag and take about 5-10 seconds to actually turn over and start. It doesn't do it every single time but about every other time. It has been in and out of my local Jeep dealership since I have received it and they cannot figure out the issue what's so ever. If we cannot get it figured out soon, I will be returning the car!
Service shifter Transfer case Radio malfunction Gear Shifter Shifter got stuck in park i had to forcefully pull the shifter to get it to go into drive. Monday Feb 14, 2022 approximately around 9:00pm I drove my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the gas station. I pull up at the gas pumps and pit the shifter to park, I exit the vechile and lock the doors, go inside the store to pay for my purchase and as im walking out I look and my jeep was gone. So I look around and I see it across the highway in a ditch. So I take off Running to my vechile and get in the vechile to try and reverse it but its automactilly goes right back into park. So I get out and look at the damage because there is a guard rail cables. My car has front end damage because it was stuck under the cables. Made a police report. I called the dealership where I am leasing the vechile from and they do not wanna help me. I've had nothing put problems with this vechile since I got it. This really needs to be looked into. What if my babies were in the car. Thankfully there was no oncoming traffic at that time. Becauae its a busy highway. I also have video footage of the incident from that night.

Tuesday November 18 2021 during driving on freeway around 3 PM, dashboard suddenly turned off, all information on cluster disappeared and vehicle seems to stalled for a few seconds, after everything came back to normal. It repeated three times in next 10 minutes of driving.Next day November 19 2021 vehicle stalled during driving on parking lot. There is no check engine light or any other messages on dashboard. Tried to start it with no luck.Starter is spinning, but engine is not firing.Vehicle has new batterie. Last month I finally got vehicle from local Chrysler authorized dealer repair shop Vehicle been there for repair work since July 8 2021 for exact same problem. Vehicle stalled on highway at speed 35 mph, and after been towed for repair to Motorworld Dodge Chrysler in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. After 2.5 month of repair, I was told( and it shown in paper work),that vehicle had all fuel pumps replaced, new fuel lines, new fuel rails, new jets, filters etc.been installed. After repair I did not even make 1000 miles.I would like to investigate this situation, because it has safety issues Tried to talk about it with service manager at dealership but looks like they are not interested to do it, and don't really want to take responsibility for performed work.
A complete loss of all electrical and engine power simultaneously, on the freeway during a rainstorm without any warning. All systems including power steering, tail lights, door locks, a completely dark instrument panel, engine stopped running. I feared for my life, it-??s very scary, it happened with no warning on a freeway during a rain storm!
I was driving to and my car began shaking and would not let me go over 10 miles per hour. I was towed in to the dealership and was told that my pcm and tcm wasn't functional.
Shifter service, Power steering yes available for inspection. Power steering went out, lights on dash board flashed and beeped and then would go black. Jeep diagnosed my jeep. No warning and happened about 2 weeks ago and has continued consistanly
Vehicle is downshifting automatically. Burning smell, squeaking/ whistling sound coming from under the hood. Smoking from under the hood tone to time. Car stalling on take off.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee the radio stop responding, won't allow to be turned off, won't allow to lower the volume, vehicle has to be turn on for 5 minutes and turn back on, then radio will start working normal again. It has happen to me in multiple ocaccions while listening to music via bluetooth from my phone.
My vehicle was in park and unable to start, all of the lights and indicators worked as expected but it the message on the dashboard said to continue in Drive. I was unable to start the vehicle or unlock the doors. The vehicle was towed to the dealership and they said that I need to replace the automatic transmission control module. This is the same component that has failed in countless Jeep Grand Cherokees yet there has not been a recall for my specific model.
Emergency Light stating "Service Electronic Throttle Control " that caused Engine Light to come on. These Electronic warnings cause vehicle to go limp and unable to drive or move causing severe danger on the road when vehicle just shuts down. It is a software issue and requires software flush and update, this issue is so common, dealership knew what i was going to say before I even said it. Recall needed to prevent a wreck and fix before issue shuts down vehicle, and should be recalled to prevent owner's financial repair for a software glitch needing updated by car maker.
The vehicle reported a low battery followed by numerous other warnings in sequence and then within a few seconds stalled and would not restart. Upon taking the vehicle to the garage, the alternator (and consequently battery) needed to be replaced. Reading other Jeep Grand Cherokee recalls, to me the indecent sounds exactly like the NHTSA Campaign ID: 14V634000 - where ''the alternator fails and the vehicle may stall'. (Manufacturer Campaign Number: T36)

On Monday, January 22, 2021 around 3 pm, I was driving on the freeway and my Jeep automatically shifted into neutral and the words 'auto park' disabled appeared on the screened. I immediately shifted it back into drive and continued drive and exited and went to a gas station. I turned it off, pumped gas and turned it back. When I tried to back up, it immediately shifted the car into park. I called the nearest dealer and asked what it could be? they checked for recalls and said that recall for a similar defect was already repaired on my vehicle, maybe it was low on transmission fluid. They also recommended looking to see if any other 2014 Jeep had experienced the same problem. This is the first time my vehicle has ever done that. I asked if it could be related to the extreme cold. I contacted Chrysler and the representative said make an appointment and take it to a dealership. I have scheduled the appointment.
