N58 my Jeep did something weird on 4/21/2019 dash lights came on like ABS and traction control light was on in the dash but the push button light down below the heat buttons was also on. Also service 4 wheel drive was flashing on the dash along with the selector wheel on the left of the dash screen went to terrain mode all by it self.also on the screen it chimed 4 wheel drive unavailable. I was in drive and driving straight.

The brakes on our Grand Cherokee stopped working while in a parking garage. After getting the car towed back home the dealership said it was a failed brake booster. The issue I have with that is I had taken it in for the recall earlier in the year and it was supposedly taken care of. Either their interim fix did not work or they did not do anything when I took it in the first time. We were fortunate no one was hurt.

My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, shut down while I was driving in the issaquah fall city road. Steering wheels locked and brakes failed and everything shut down. I barely made it to the walgreens parking lot where the vehicle completely died to the point where even the keys wouldn't work. I barely made it alive. I am glad I didn't crash into anyone. I had to tow the vehicle later in the day to the dealership. They asked me to drop it off at their garage. Today they got back to me saying, there was an open recall on the vehicle and that caused the alternator to fail and shut down everything. They said because it's an open recall they would fix it themselves as it's covered under some warranty. But they also told me that there is an issue with some oil pressure sensor and the AWD system is stuck in AWD and they will have to fix it and have me a parts and labor charge of 2000 usd which I have to bear. Is this normal practice. I don't know how the AWD system suddenly got into this state. If it's a result of the alternator issue caused by the open recall, wouldn't they manufacturer/dealer have to bear it.. thanks !!

1 week after the dealership added the water shield to the brakes as required by the recall the brakes stopped working the first time you used them after starting the vehicle. We took it back and we're told it had nothing to do with the recall and the ebt pump needed replacing for $750. We took it to a different mechanic and found that the brake boosters were corroded and the ebt pump was fine. Corroded brake boosters is exactly what the recall was intended to prevent and we should not have had to pay for the work.

In the process of parking at my sister's home, I took my foot off the accelerator and started to brake. The car did not slow down. I continued to brake, but the car kept going forward with increasing speed. I was able to steer and not hit parked cars, but went into the lawn hitting a set of contractor's scaffolding sending them flying into their house and patio. The car finally stopped on top of their well head, destroying the well cover as well as the protective pipe for the well head. Further internal damage was done to their well, as there was no running water in the house. A tow truck had to come to lift the car off the well head to avoid any further damage. I had been using the cruise control earlier in our trip, but it was not active at the time.

The contact called cary autopark Chrysler Jeep (400 auto park blvd, cary, North Carolina 27511, 888-923-9538) and was informed that the alternator and brakes failed. Brake booster in vehicle is prone to fail. Failure of brake booster component leads to total failure of the whole braking system. This can lead to unexpected accidents. My vehicle has been experiencing a squeak coming from the brake pedal when pressure is applied to the brakes. Brought it in to the dealership and they told me that the brake booster needs replacing. They told me that failure to replace part can lead to major safety issues.

Recall on Jeep alternator and brake booster water shield. My complaint is the length of time in getting the parts. The alternator went out and it has been sitting at the dealership for 11 days now and parts are still not released from Chrysler. They will not give me a rental. What is a person to do? except pay 800$ and then fight Chrysler to get my money back.

On August 4, 2017 after starting my Jeep and driving away from parking space I had no brakes at all when trying to stop - fortunately I wasn't going more than 25 mph when I noticed the problem - I was able to coast into a curb and stop. There was no prior warning and no warning lights and the brakes seemed ok the night before when I parked the car. I had to have the car towed to a dealer where they charged me $718.54 to install a new power brake booster which they said was no longer under warranty. The Jeep had 42834 miles at the time. If this had happened on I-25 which is where I was heading I would not have been able to stop at all.
