My daughter was parking her 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee outside of a retail store. As she slowed and pulled into a parking space, the Jeep suddenly surged forward, jumping the curb, crossing a sidewalk, going through a small grass median, and into a different area of the parking lot. The police report, Oklahoma city police department report, case number 15-redacted, accurately records the surge. The officers conclusion was driver error. Through research I have found numerous similar complaints concerning 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I called the service manager for the Jeep dealership where we purchased the vehicle. I told him about the accident and that when the Jeep came in for repair, I wanted the accident data preserved. He told me the only data that he could obtain was Jeep proprietary information, which I could not have. A representative form my insurance company is adamant that we, as the owners of the Jeep, have a right to any information captured by the Jeep systems. However, the insurance company had no way to obtain that information when they appraised the damage to the Jeep. I need help in obtaining the data by someone outside of Jeep who can access it, or help to compel Jeep to provide me with the information, hence this online submission. I purchased a new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee srt last year and have had many issues, this has to do with the automatic braking system. I was in the far left turn lane of a two lane left turn stoplight. Stoplight turns green for left turn lanes to proceed to highway entrance ramp, as I am turning left my car automatically slams into a full brake and stops in middle of turn lane. The car was out of my control as the brake peddle was fully pressed to the floor without me touching the brake. My vehicle does have the automatic brake system, which was activated this day. The car behind me slammed on their brakes since my vehicle came to a complete stop in the middle of making a left turn. We did not get rear ended thankfully. There was a car to the right of my vehicle also making a left turn, at no point did this vehicle come near my vehicle nor crossed lanes. My vehicle came to a complete stop for no reason and when I went to press on the gas pedal, it continued to stay in a full brake, it took about a minute to get my vehicle to start accelerating again. After this incident I turned off the automatic brake system. To be driving a vehicle and then out of nowhere the car takes control of itself is very scary and not safe.

Driving through the eisenhower tunnel the brake warning system activated. The brakes did not engage. I have had this Jeep for over a year and have driven through this tunnel over 80 times and now whenever driving through the tunnel this brake warning will flash. This has occurred approximately 16 times now. This warning is now going off on the open interstate and secondary roads. The adaptive cruise control stops workings after 15-20 minutes. This has been into two different dealers, only to tell me the lens was dirty. Within 20 minutes after leaving the dealer (who cleaned the sensor) the system stops working and says to clean the sensor. No snow or water was driven through prior to the message being displayed.

After backing the car out of the garage I was going to get out to go back into the house.. I put the car (I thought) in park, my foot was still on the brake. I started to remove my foot from the brake and the car slightly started forward I realized the car wasn't in park but drive and when I went to depress the brakes further to change gears and stop the forward motion the car suddenly revved the engine, squealed its tires while pealing out and accelerating at a high rate of speed back into the garage smashing into a brick wall and my dining room. The damage to the car is over $15,000 and damage to the house is approx. $9000. I know my foot was on the brake!` my face hit the steering wheel cutting my lip. The airbag did not deploy. I have two years left on the lease and I am terrified to drive it. In all of my years of driving I have never had an accident and I have always parked in a garage without incident. I have driven everything from Yukon to Navigator and never have I had an issue like this. I see from all the posts that I am not alone. This issue needs to be addressed before people are killed. Since purchasing this vehicle in April of 2013 there have been six safety related recalls on the vehicle. The first two were quickly fixed. Since then, and over the last year we had accumulated an additional four recalls. Each comes with a warning from Chrysler that this is an "important safety recall notice." The recalls are as follows; sun visor wiring occupant restraint control module brake booster alternator we have made at least four trips into auto nation Chrysler Dodge Jeep in at 120 116th ave ne bellevue, wa 98004 to try and get these items fixed. Each time we are told the parts are not available and they have no estimate as to when the parts may be available. They have been pretty dismissive and do not seem to give the impression that they understand this is their responsibility to correct.

I was driving and stopped at the stop sign and when I accelerated after making the stop and took a left turn on G street located on kirtland air force base my car accelerated and I lost control and when I applied the brakes nothing happened and my car proceeded to hit a parked vehicle and still the brakes did not stop the car and the only reason the car stopped was because I hit some reinforced steel cables holding something up. Four other vehicles were damages as a result of my brakes failing.

While traveling perfectly fine for 2 hours on an expressway, our vehicle became completely uncontrollable as the road became slightly slippery and we decreased our speed to around 45 mph. The steering wheel began shaking, the vehicle felt like it was driving itself, shimmying left and right uncontrollably. We could not correct the vehicle from slightly fishtailing even after removing pressure from accelerator and reducing speed to 5-10 mph and driving on the shoulder where there was more traction. We were totally unable to control the vehicle. We switched the select-terrain knob to "snow" to see if that helped, but it continued to be virtually uncontrollable. We were afraid to completely stop the vehicle due to all other traffic flying past us going normal speeds. The vehicle miraculously made it to a gas station right off the highway and was towed to the nearest Jeep dealer. The service department took it out for two different drives and could not replicate the problem. They hooked it up to their computer diagnostic system and could find no error codes. We also inquired if it was part of the P64 recall regarding the electronic control stability and were told no even though it seems similar to the problem that the recall addresses.this was the most terrifying experience we have ever had in a vehicle. If there had been any vehicles in our immediate vicinity at the onset of the issue, we would have been in a horrific accident. Two other similar, but less intense scenarios had happened before this one, both including the same feeling of being out of control, once on a rainy road service, and the other on an intermittently slippery road. Because this seems to be an intermittent problem and one that is a huge safety concern, we refuse to drive this vehicle on the road again.
