After restarting the vehicle, the settings failed to switch back to the preferred settings. Additionally, the rear hatch failed to stay in the upwards position. The contact stated that while attempting to raise the hatchback to the upward position, the hatch would slam down instead. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V393000 (structure) and 15V509000 (visibility); however, the parts needed to repair the vehicle were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.
