On Jan 28,2020 I went to Moss Bros in Riverside CA to do a Recall on Alternator. After it was done, I went home and the very day I had something I had to do in the car. While I was driving the car Jan 29,2020 I lost control and overheated - it started to leak and smoke so I had to get towing to take it there. I was very upset I never had any Problems with my ever once I got there they told me that the belt were not on I was so Angry how cause that happen they cause not me a reason why so I stated I will not ever come back there so I asked for a Cabin Air Filter for free that the lease they for me
It was a very Big deal to me but they did not care about it at all. I took it in that morning they did a Multi-Point Inspection Report Car and very thing was Ok with my car about 4 days after that I turned on my AC it was Blowing hot air but before I did the Recall it was working Great not sure if they check it went they put Air Filter in I doubt it. So I did not take it back because I thought it may need Refrigerant and may want me to paid A/C Diagnosis cost so I waited until I had money to get that done.
On Sept 9/24/2020 I took it to get some Refrigerant and Diagnosis at other Auto Service and cost me 170.00. They stated to me that my A/C Compressor was overheat and burned and it should not be and it not HOT in CA based on my Mileage. Altogether on the Issues with my car at all it would cost me 700.00 to get it done.
Based on that, the FCA went to installing the Alternator. It very Important to me to be sure that Belt if done right if not it will cause a lot of Damage due to overheating. When the diodes fail, the alternator will no longer supply electrical energy to the vehicle and may lead to a vehicle stall without warning. Failed diodes may also develop a resistive short circuit that can result in heat, smoke and/or fire also When installing the accessory drive belt, be sure the belt is routed correctly. The water pump may rotate in the wrong direction if the belt is installed incorrectly. This will cause the engine to overheat. Refer to the belt routing label located in the engine compartment for proper accessory drive belt routing.
Also, never force an accessory drive belt over a pulley rim using a screwdriver. The synthetic fiber of the accessory drive belt could be damaged and Engine Damage. But the last thing that needed to be done was to Connect the wiTECH scan tool and start a session. 25. Using the wiTECH scan tool, verify that the new alternator is charging properly. 26. Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). 27. Clear all DTCs. 28. Remove the wiTECH scan tool from the vehicle. 29. Close hood and return the vehicle to the customer.
If that would have been done my car would still be in Excellent Condition. It stated on paperwork the belt came off due to the alternator seized and PCM is damaged due to alternator - that lie they meant that belts were done on.
So I feel that because of their negligence in servicing my car incorrectly by and all the damage my A/C would be working. I have been doing a lot of research that could have caused the problem and they should be responsible to fix my AC. I will be writing FCA about the Issue and will not Stop there. Please Help
