Bought vehicle 2013 Grand Cherokee in Oct 2012. In Dec took back to dealer stating when backing up out of garage , the brake pedal was hard and it felt like it was pulling on something. Needless to say nothing was found. Then I took it back to dealer in 2014 still doing same thing. They stated brakes operating as they are supposed to and everything ok. Said vehicle does not apply to recall.

So in May 2014 I made a complaint to Jeep and they told me to take to another dealer, which I did. They described it as the brake pedal push rod binding in booster. Replaced booster and bleed brakes. Thought everything was fine. Had my tires rotated last May before a trip out of town and was told my tires are starting to crack.

Then about 3 months I started hearing a loud noise from the car. Took back to dealer and he told me it was the tires , that maybe the inside belts were starting to break down and the noise will get louder. Contacted Michelin regarding the tires and they were absolutely no help, kept stating about the warranty. Looked around for a good tire and went back to Goodyear, always had them before these Michelins. They told me the tires were cupping?? Meaning that it was being caused by the way it was hitting the road and usually it was from an alignment done incorrectly.

When they checked the alignment wasn't that bad but 3 of my calipers are leaking. Now I just paid 800.00 for tires and it will cost me 800.00 to replace the calipers. I feel that this is all tied into something with the brakes. This should not be happening to a car that is only 3 years old. I have driven on tires way more than 48000 miles. I think I was sold a lemon and they don't know what is wrong with it. Goodyear told me to bring it back in 3 to 5 thousand miles so they can rotate and look at the tread wear to see if something is causing the wear on the tires.

I feel that Chrysler should reimburse me for all this because if the dealer knew what they were doing in the beginning it could have been resolved right away but twice they told me nothing was wrong until I went to another dealer

brakes not functioning quickly or cruise control faulty

I love using the FCW and cruise control. There are times when i have to reduce speed coming to a stop or to negotiate a sharp turn, the vehicle does not slow down when I apply the brakes. This is scary and I immediately develop a new dictionary in the profanity vocab. The vehicle just runs away and I have to down change very rapidly to get this beast to slow down, and then exhale! Oh yes, while performing this new yoga position in pulling the steering towards me and pushing my foot down on the brake pedal, the RPM increases and honestly, I pray in all different languages. Slapping the gearstick, stopping the vehicle, switching the cruise off and switching the vehicle off, gives me some peace. I do this every time this happens. Thus far, it has happened a total of 14 times on my trips from Sioux Lookout to Winnipeg and Dryden. I will be heading down to Thunder bay and leave my vehicle with them for a few days and hope them can fid the problem.

Otherwise, this is the best vehicle we have owned and is a real pleasure to drive.
