The engine (5.7 hemi) shuts off shortly after filling up the tank. Its happens 3 times each time after fully filling up the gas tank. Engine will shut off (no stuttering) while driving just half mile (city driving) from the last fill up. The engine will start right up once the car comes to a stop and doesn't happen again until fill up.
After filling gas tank, fuel gushed out. Dealer replaced restricter, worked for 2 fill ups, then the 3rd fill up gushed again. Took it back to dealer and was told they needed to replace the entire gas tank at a cost $1200! as I've just read of other incidents with the 2010 Liberty, a recall should be issued. Currently there are none. However, this problem also occurred with a friend's 2008 chrsyler aspen, and Chrysler did issue a recall.
