The front brakes on my 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee have already began to squeak. I had the vehicle serviced at the dealership (brake service) and was informed that the rotors needed resurfaced. I find this completely unacceptable being a newer vehicle with average annual mileage. The dealership offered only the rotor service and told me the rotors would not be replaced by warranty.
The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact was driving approximately 20 mph when the brake was depressed and a loud squeaking noise emitted with the brake warning light illuminating intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer four times for the similar failure. The technician stated the constant squeaking noise was a normal occurrence. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 19,272.
