The contact owns a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated when in drive gear and on an incline, the vehicle would roll backward without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but they were unable to determine the failure. The manufacturer was contacted in reference to the failure but did not offer any assistance. The contact stated the failure had occurred since the date of purchase. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 500 and the current mileage was 13,000.

The vehicle has been to the dealer four times, but they could not diagnose the cause of the failure. The dealer stated that the failure was due to an engineering deficiency.
