I had the recall work for safety recall N23/NHTSA Drive controller module done a couple of months ago. Now my car tells me to 'service 4WD' when I attempt to put it in 4low or when I attempt to disengage the transfer case for recreational towing. Everything was fine till they 'reprogrammed' the module software.
Dealer tells me I now have to pay for a replacement module, over $600 plus labor etc. and to top that off THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER! Why? Perhaps too many consumers now need it?!!?! I tell you I can feel in my bones that all this expense is connected to the reprogramming the software!! Augh! Put it back the way it was. They also claim I am not covered under Chrysler new and improved Powertrain warranty, but different web sites say otherwise.
