The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After starting the vehicle, the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. A trouble code was detected, but the technician was unable to determine the cause of the failure. In addition, the horn became inoperable. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
Two issues. 1. the driver and passenger doors on the vehicle are not designed to stay open. They return with excessive force and have dinged ankles several times. Anyone more frail will have a cracked ankle. 2. the horn is too difficult to activate.
