I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee to keep for life. I have babied it and it looks like new. I am 75 years old and living on a fixed income. Can you imagine my dismay when the door panel started crumbling apart around the door handle? When I took it to the Jeep dealer and tried to trade it in on a new Jeep, they would not give me a decent trade in on it because it would cost so much to repair. And the body shop wanted close to $800 to replace the door panel, if they could get one.
Then I found out from dealer that this is a common problem on Jeep Cherokees in this model. I think Jeep should stand behind their product and see that I can get my Jeep repaired and be able to open door to my beloved jeep and get out of it. SO PLEASE - DO THE RIGHT THING AND STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT!
