I purchased my Cherokee used and shortly after realized the lights in the A/C control module on the dash were the only lights not working. I looked up on the internet how to replace these bulbs and they are soldered to a circuit board. The dealership says the unit will have to be replaced costing a few hundred dollars with labor. Other internet searches show some people buying replacement bulbs either online or at Radio Shack and removing the unit, tearing it down and soldering in new bulbs. My thoughts were that with all the comments and complaints I read about this issue online, how come this is not an item that is under warranty by the manufacturer? Any thoughts from anyone?
