The contact owns a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that one month after she purchased the vehicle, she noticed that the driver side exterior mirror would become cloudy. She activated the heated mirror to clear it up, which worked temporarily. However, over the last few months, the frame around the inside of the mirror fractured and caused the mirror to cloud completely over to the point of zero visibility. Both the dealer and manufacturer were notified. The vehicle is not under warranty; therefore, they would not repair the vehicle for free. The failure mileage was 25,000 and current mileage was 43,000.
