The contact owns a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving 35 mph, the front driver side tire detached from the vehicle. An independent mechanic inspected the vehicle but was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact independently replaced the tire. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. In addition, the contact stated that while driving at a low speed, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the rear of the vehicle as the rear driver's side tire detached from the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.
The front brakes on the consumers 2003 Jeep Cherokee wore out irregularly.(nar) the front brake rotors caused the vehicle to shimmy excessively especially at higher speeds. Each time the vibration would take place, the front rotors would have to be replaced. The consumer requested a refund of repair monies. The chrome peeled off of the wheels.
