This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Strange electrical issues start happening. My car wouldn't start and couldn't be jump started. Had to be towed to the dealer. The problem was a corroded positive battery cable lead. The battery cable assembly had to be replaced at a cost of $300. The car is two years old and I live in Colorado. I fine it difficult to believe that a battery cable could corrode to the point of having to be replaced in two years. I believe that it is a defective cable not corrosion that caused my problem.
